Our boutique beach resort is located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea in Colombia, South America. The resort lies at the foothills of the impressive and magical Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world’s highest Coastal Mountain Range. This area is referred to as the Heart of the world, not only because of it’s geographical location, but more importantly because every single ecosystem exists and thrives in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Our boutique beach resort is located just 15 minutes from the entrance of Parque Nacional Tayrona, and a beautiful one hour drive from the burgeoning historical downtown center of Santa Marta and the Simon Bolivar Airport.

We are looking for volunteers for JULY-SEPT 2017 that are willing to stay for a minimum of one month but preferably two months.

HELP WITH DAILY OPERATIONS / HOTEL RECEPTION ASSISTANT:
We are looking for an experienced person to lend support to our Hotel Manager with daily operations like checking in and checking out of our guests, providing client services to them during their stay (organizing eco-tours, transports and answering questions about the area). Must be able to speak English and Spanish well, have a friendly and happy disposition, be a team players and have experience volunteering in Hostels or Hotels in the administrative and client service side. This position is for minimum of one month, preferably two months. You will be working along with our Colombia staff. Cultural exchange between you and our local staff and your clients from all around the world is encouraged. You will have many opportunities to spent time visiting nearby places like Parque Tayrona, Minca, Palomino, eco- day trips, adventures, rivers, nature hikes etc.

These volunteer positions report directly to the owners and Director of Operations of the resort.
These volunteers Must be proficient in both Spanish & English to help attend to our clients (must have exceptional customer service skills in both languages). Other Languages are a plus.
Volunteer will receive accommodation in our new Staff Quarters and 2 meals a day, you will have access to a large new kitchen to cook your other meals.
Preferably no picky eaters, as we have a large staff to cook for daily, and we cook everything from vegetarian, chicken, meat, grains, and fish.

Volunteers will be accommodated in our new and beautiful MALOKA / Staff Headquarters. Shared accommodations in large rooms, 2 new bathrooms with showers, full kitchen.
We Cannot offer accommodation for couples. traveling/volunteering together....sorry!
Our boutique beach resort is a Hotel/Resort on 5 acres. We are located directly on a beautiful virgin beach with the Sierra Nevada Mountains behind us. The property consists of many palm trees, a large green pasture where we are starting our vegetable gardens. The property is located 1 hour from the Historic Centro of Santa Marta, 15 minutes from the entrance to the Parque Tayrona and 30 minutes from Palomino.
There are many activities to do nearby in the park, waterfall treks, river tubing etc.
The main rules for the volunteer are as follows - To maintain staff quarters and bathrooms clean. During off hours may use Hotel facilities always giving Hotel guests priority. Wear hotel t-shirt and maintain a proper appearance. Volunteers must wash their own clothes. Things to bring: comfortable clothing, pants for evening, bug repellent, hat, sunblock, sunglasses, flip flops and gardening shoes or boots, gardening gloves, bathing suit, flash light, towels, bathroom toiletries.
