Hi! My name is Felipe, I’m 22 years old and I’m from São Paulo, Brazil.

I’m currently planning to start my Workaway journey in the second half of this year, and I’m really excited about everything that comes with it, new places, new people, and new experiences.

I would describe myself as someone very easy to get along with. I naturally connect with people and make friends wherever I go. I have an open mind, I respect different lifestyles, and I truly enjoy sharing moments, conversations, and everyday life with others.

I’ve always been a very active person. I love moving my body, whether it’s exercising, hiking, running, dancing or just being outdoors. At the same time, I also enjoy social environments like parties, clubs and meeting new people. For me, life doesn’t have to be just one thing, I like balancing both sides.

One of the experiences that impacted me the most was volunteering in Brazil with an NGO that supports people with cancer. Being close to people going through such delicate moments taught me a lot about empathy, patience, and human connection. It’s something I carry with me.

When it comes to work, I’m very hands-on and adaptable. I’m not afraid of physical work and I’m always willing to help with whatever is needed. I have experience with general house tasks like cleaning, organizing, laundry, basic maintenance, and I enjoy taking care of spaces.

I also really like gardening and taking care of plants. At home, I have a small garden that I take care of with a lot of attention, and it’s something that genuinely relaxes me.

Professionally, I’ve worked as a barista and waiter, which helped me develop strong communication skills and confidence in fast-paced environments. I’ve also worked in retail, dealing directly with customers and handling responsibilities like sales and cashier.

More recently, I worked as a volunteer in logistics at Lollapalooza Brazil, which was an intense and dynamic experience that taught me a lot about teamwork and organization.

I’m currently studying Advertising and Marketing and working as a graphic designer, so I can also help with creative tasks, social media, or anything related to communication if needed.

I speak Portuguese fluently, English at an advanced level, and I have a good understanding of French.

What motivates me most about Workaway is the chance to live something real. Not just visit a place, but be part of it, learn from people, share experiences, and grow through it.

I learn fast, adapt easily, and I’m always open to new experiences. More than anything, I’m genuinely interested in people, their stories, and different ways of living.

I really enjoy languages because I see them as one of the best ways to connect with people and create meaningful relationships around the world. I’d be happy to help others learn Portuguese and share a bit of Brazilian culture as well. At the same time, I’m very motivated to improve and develop my French. For me, language exchange is not just about learning, but about sharing experiences, stories and perspectives.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’d say I’m a very hands-on person and I genuinely enjoy physical work. Being active is part of who I am, so tasks that involve movement, effort and working outdoors feel natural to me. Getting my hands dirty is definitely not a problem for me haha.

I really like being in nature. I enjoy hiking, spending time outdoors and working with plants. At home, I have a small garden that I take care of myself, so I already have some experience with basic gardening and I’m always interested in learning more about growing food and taking care of the land.

When it comes to physical work, I’m strong, willing and not afraid of repetitive or demanding tasks. I adapt quickly and I’m always ready to help with whatever is needed, whether it’s general outdoor work, carrying things, maintenance or helping with daily routines on a property.

I’m also used to taking care of a house. Cleaning, organizing, laundry, dishes and basic maintenance are all things I can do easily. I understand the importance of keeping a place clean and functional.

I’ve worked in customer service as a barista, waiter and in retail, which helped me develop good communication skills and responsibility, especially in busy environments.

I also had the experience of working as a volunteer in logistics at Lollapalooza Brazil, where I worked in a fast-paced team environment, helping with organization and operations.

On the creative side, I study Advertising and Marketing and work as a graphic designer, so I can also help with social media or communication if needed.

In terms of languages, I speak Portuguese and English fluently and also have a good understanding of French.

Overall, I’m responsible, adaptable, easy to work with and always willing to learn. I’m especially motivated to learn more manual work and new ways of living.

Was noch ...

I’d say I’m the kind of person who is always open to a “side quest” haha. Whether it’s helping with something unexpected, trying something new or just going with the flow, I enjoy those spontaneous moments that make the experience more memorable.

I’m easygoing in daily life and I value a good environment, respect, communication and good energy around the people I’m with. I also enjoy simple things like listening to music, having conversations, sharing meals and learning from different perspectives.

I’m curious by nature, so I tend to get interested in how things work and I like to be involved, not just watching but actually participating.

I also believe that small moments are what make the whole experience special, not just the work itself, but the people, the routines and everything in between.
