Bonjour 🌸
Je m’appelle Zita et je cherche un « Workaway » dans un environnement francophone entre le début novembre et mi-décembre (je suis flexible!). Mon objectif principal est de me remettre à la langue française, de m’entraîner à parler et de m’immerger dans la culture, la cuisine et la vie quotidienne françaises — tout en m’occupant les mains et en apprenant de nouvelles choses au passage.

Quelques mots sur moi
🌼 Je suis une personne joyeuse et active, mais aussi calme et tranquille.
🌼 J’apprécie sincèrement le travail d’équipe et les moments partagés, mais je suis également indépendante et à l’aise pour travailler seule (et parfois, j’aime aussi passer mon temps libre toute seule).
🌼 J’ai déjà participé à plusieurs reprises à des séjours Workaway — en France, au Portugal, en Sicile et même en Hongrie ! J’ai donné un coup de main dans des maisons, effectué des travaux d’entretien général, nettoyé la forêt et cueilli et séché des herbes locales — et j’ai beaucoup appris !
🌼 J’ai récemment terminé mes études de menuiserie ! Je suis également titulaire d’une licence en géographie et d’un master en géoinformatique, avec notamment un semestre Erasmus à Bordeaux. Après le lycée, j’ai passé un an à Annecy en tant que fille au pair, ce qui a été ma première expérience de longue durée en France.

🚭 Je suis non-fumeuse et je ne bois pas d’alcool (sauf lors d’occasions très spéciales).
🥦 Je suis végétarienne (je mange du fromage, des yaourts et des œufs, mais pas de poisson ni de lait).

🏠 J’ai un frère et une sœur & une famille adorable.
🏠 Mes parents m’ont élevée dans l’esprit « débrouille-toi et apprends sur le tas » (ma maman est une jardinière et mon papa est bricoleur, entre autres), je participe donc à TOUT ce qui concerne la maison et le jardin (~2 ha).
🐣 Comme j’ai construit un poulailler ce printemps, nous avons actuellement 11 poules, un chien et plusieurs chats. Je dirais donc que je suis à l’aise avec les animaux et les responsabilités quotidiennes liées à leur prise en charge.
🌿 Je travaille beaucoup dans notre jardin et je me forme actuellement à la permaculture, aux walipinis, etc.

Ce que j’aime faire
🌱 Le jardinage — de la plantation et de l’entretien des plantes à la construction et à la rénovation.
🪵 La menuiserie, le bricolage, la peinture et le dessin.
🥕 La cuisine (végétarienne).
✨ Tenir un journal, lire et consacrer un peu de temps à la créativité.
🧘 Le yoga le matin.
🥾 La randonnée, le vélo ou simplement aller me promener avec notre chien.

Ce que j’espère trouver
J’aimerais beaucoup rejoindre un foyer ou un projet où je pourrais apporter ma contribution, acquérir de nouvelles compétences, rencontrer des gens et découvrir la vie quotidienne en France. Je serais ravie de participer à des tâches pratiques, que ce soit au jardin, dans la maison, avec les animaux ou dans d’autres projets où une paire de mains supplémentaire serait utile.

En parallèle, je me laisse un peu de temps pour réfléchir à la suite de mon parcours. J’ai hâte de découvrir de nouveaux endroits, de rencontrer des gens différents et d’apprendre auprès d’eux.

Et enfin, mon français
Je comprends assez bien le français, mais quand je dois m’exprimer, j’ai parfois l’impression que mon cerveau est dans un congélateur et que je ne trouve pas les mots justes ! 😅 J’espère que le fait d’être entourée de francophones m’aidera à surmonter cela et à gagner en assurance. Je suis ravie de pratiquer le français autant que possible, même si j’aurai besoin d’un peu de patience au début. Pour les informations importantes, cependant, l’anglais reste pour l’instant l’option la plus sûre. (J'ai utilisé un outil de traduction pour rédiger cette description.)

Hello 🌸
I’m Zita and I am looking for a place to "work away" in a french-speaking environment between the beggining of November - mid-December (I am flexible!). My main goal is to reconnect with the French language, practise speaking, and immerse myself in French culture, cuisine and everyday life — all while keeping my hands busy and learning new things along the way.

A little about me:
🌼I am a cheerful, easy going and active person but at the same time calm and quiet
🌼I genuinly love a good teamwork and shared moments but I am a also independent and comfortable working on your own (and sometimes I also enjoy spending my freetime alone)
🌼I have done workaway several times - in France, Portugal, Sicily and even in Hungary! I have helped around houses, did general maintenance, cleaned forest and collected/dryed native herbs - and learnt a lot!
🌼 I recently finished carpentry school! I also have a BSc in Geography and an MSc in Geoinformatics, including an Erasmus semester in Bordeaux. After high school, I spent a year in Annecy working as an au pair, which was my first longer experience living in France.

🚭I am a non-smoker, and sober person (drinking only in case of very special events)
🥦I am vegetarian (i do eat cheese, yogurt and eggs but no fish, milk)

🏠I have two siblings and a lovely family
🏠my parents raised me as a ‘do it for yourself and learn it on the way’ kinda person (my Mum is a (former) gardener - my Dad is a handyman (among others) so i am involved in EVERYTHING around the house and the garden (~2 ha))
🐣as i built a chicken coop this spring, we have 11 chickens at the moment, a dog and several cats. So I would say I'm comfortable around animals and the everyday responsibilities that come with caring for them.
🌿I work a lot in our garden, and I am on my journey of learning about permaculture, walipinis etc.


Things I love doing
🌱 gardening — from planting and caring for plants to building things and maintaining
🪵 carpentry, DIY projects, painting and drawing
🥕 cooking (vegetarian food)
✨journaling, reading and having a little creative time
🧘 morning yoga
🥾 hiking, cycling or simply going for a walk with our dog


What I'm hoping to find
I'd love to join a household or project where I can contribute, learn new skills, meet people and experience everyday life in France. I'm happy to get involved in practical tasks, whether in the garden, around the house, with animals or in other projects where an extra pair of hands is useful.
At the same time, I'm giving myself some space to explore what I want to do next in life. I'm looking forward to discovering new places, meeting different people and learning from them.


And finally, my French
I understand quite a lot of French, but when I have to express myself, it sometimes feels as if my brain is in a freezer and I can' find the right words! 😅 I'm hoping that being surrounded by French speakers will help me get past that and become more confident. I'm happy to practise French as much as possible, even if I need a little patience at first. For important information, though, English is the safest option for now.

-general house maintenance and everyday household chores, with some hands-on experience in small renovation projects, including painting, wallpapering and repointing

-general computer-related tasks, thanks to my background in IT
- I enjoy working as part of a team, but I'm also very independent and comfortable taking initiative and working on my own
