Heyy, I´m Steffi ♡ 👋
I believe life is full of great possibilities and I love being open to those. I´ve always wanted to travel and I´ve decided to chase this dream. Because life is too short to chase anything that doesn´t lite a fire inside us. I live for deep connections, things that make me feel alive such as dancing and singing freely, playing the guitar, watching stunning sunsets while sharing a laughing fit, appreciating the present moment and feeling the adrenaline when leaving my comfort zone.
I really want to get to know the places I travel, its nature, the people and culture. To escape my bubble, widen my horizon, connect with people and being a part of something. I´ve always wanted to volunteer in a community so I am super excited to engage and learn!
Animals are a big part of my live. I´ve been around horses ever since I´m a little kid. Over the past years working with my horse, my mindset on handling horses and equitation did definitely change a lot when it comes to truly respecting the horse and it´s true nature. I became a big enthusiast of horsemanship and I strive to learn even much more about it. As I began to take a big interest in environmental issues and animal welfare, I became vegan and try to life pro-nature.
I grew up on the countryside in Austria so I really appreciate the quietness of nature. It gives me a sense of inner peace and definitely increases my creativity which is a big part of my life. Being outside with my camera and capturing moments is my passion.
I´m also a big big fan of good music and food, adventures and sharing the same silly humour.
I really enjoy being around people I feel comfortable with, to share the same values and have fun together. I also appreciate time spent with myself, to reflect, journal, read and I´d love to get into a routine with practising yoga and meditation. Being inspired by other people is for sure one of my favourite parts when traveling. -

I´d love to become fluent in Spanish as I love the language but didn´t learn it good enough in school to speak it fluently.I don´t have any practice in teaching a language yet but of course we can practice german or english together:) -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
One of my strengths is my keen sense of understanding animals and their individuality. I love getting to know their character and needs better and spend time with and look after them. I have experience with taking care of our own animals as well as sitting those of friends, feeding, giving medicine, cleaning enclosures and walking dogs. Because I believe all animals deserve life, I would love to be a part of projects helping animals in need.
Caring for and working with horses is my passion and over the past years I could improve my skills in various aspects. I started taking regular riding lessons when I was six years old and ever since then moved my focus more and more towards natural horsemanship and just learning their ways.
I´d also love to learn more about self-sufficiency and a zero-waste lifestyle. I began to grow my own vegetables in our garden and for the future I am willing to get my hands on in that aspect and widen my knowledge.
At previous hosts I did some work with carpentry, for example we buildt a wooden fence, painted lots of wood and walls, etc. I am eager to improve my skills in that area over time since I love hands-on work.
I like getting creative and enjoy colourful arts-projects!
I also enjoy photography and could help out with that skill if useful in projects, for example for media presentation. -
