Beschreibung

I am in my 20s, and currently studying for my Master's degree, which is in an environmental sector. I love being outside, cooking, baking, crafting (knitting and crochet) and learning new languages - which is what I aim to do with Workaway. Hoping to gain new experiences and learn from others, whatever that might be! I particularly enjoy being close to water, as I love sailing (and teaching it too). One of my current aims is to gain some insight in farming, and have a better understanding of food production and seasonality.

I speak English and French fluently, and currently learning Spanish and a little German. A very basic understanding of Portuguese and Dutch.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked in a Environmental Field Centre for a year, which involved teaching and leading activities for children and adults on ecology, biology and geography. This has developed my teaching skills, as I am able to adapt to different age groups and teach in both an outdoor and classroom setting. I loved getting people outside, and encouraging them to learn something new.

I have helped at my local sailing club and my university sailing club, to teach people how to sail. This has always been a rewarding and enjoyable experience, as I get to spend time outside and help people learn a new skill. I did a workaway last summer in Spain, teaching children how to sail - an experience I thoroughly enjoyed and learnt a lot from.

I love cooking and baking, so I am always happy to host dinner and love the process of cooking for others. I once had my own allotment for a year and I got to try a bit of gardening for the first time. This is something I hope to learn more about this year, as I feel many of us (myself included) have lost the connection to food production. Hoping to get some green fingers this summer!

Was noch ...

I got my PADI open water scuba diving in 2023, and loved the experience. I am hoping to find an experience which is new to me!
