Hola a todos! 😊
I am Sophie, an 18-year-old traveler from Austria and I would describe myself as an open-minded, communicative, thoughtful and optimistic person.
Seeing the world has been my dream since I was a kid and now that I have just finished school, I want to take the next couple months to explore Latin America.
What I hope to gain through travelling are life-lasting memories and meaningful encounters with people from all over the world. I truly want to get to know the different cultures of each country, understand the realities of people's lives, and learn many new things and skills during this time. I prefer slow tourism and eco-tourism over rushing from one place to another just to see as many places as possible, without being able to really process the experience.
Regarding the tasks, I would say I am fine with most kinds of work, and I am willing to acquire new skills. Moreover, I would love to be able to practice my Spanish.
Let me give you a bit more of an idea of what kind of person I am: I love having meaningful conversations and spending quality time with kind people, as well as I enjoy some alone time where I have the opportunity to read a good book, journal a bit or do sports – especially going for a run. Besides that, I really like cooking, spending time in nature or exploring a vibrant city.

Soy Sophie, una viajera de 18 años de Austria y me describiría como una persona abierta, comunicativa, reflexiva y optimista.
Ver el mundo ha sido mi sueño desde que era niña y ahora que acabo de terminar la escuela, quiero dedicar los próximos meses a explorar América Latina.
Lo que espero obtener con este viaje son recuerdos imborrables y encuentros significativos con personas de todo el mundo. Tengo muchas ganas de conocer las diferentes culturas de cada país, comprender la realidad de la vida de sus habitantes y aprender muchas cosas nuevas y habilidades durante este tiempo. Prefiero el turismo lento y el ecoturismo a ir corriendo de un lugar a otro solo para ver tantos sitios como sea posible, sin poder asimilar realmente la experiencia.
En cuanto a las tareas, diría que me siento cómoda con la mayoría de los tipos de trabajo y estoy dispuesta a adquirir nuevas habilidades. Además, me encantaría poder practicar mi español.
Déjame darte una idea más clara de cómo soy: me encanta tener conversaciones significativas y pasar tiempo de calidad con gente amable, así como disfrutar de momentos a solas en los que tengo la oportunidad de leer un buen libro, escribir un poco en mi diario o hacer deporte, especialmente salir a correr. Además, me gusta mucho cocinar, pasar tiempo en la naturaleza o explorar una ciudad vibrante.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I don’t have that much work experience yet, but overall, I am a hands-on person, and I am willing to provide help wherever needed :)
I speak several languages (German - my mother tongue, English – C1, French - level A2) and I am currently learning Spanish (at the moment level A2-B1). I am also a communicative and social person, so I would love to engage with other people during work, for example when working at reception.
Besides that, general maintenance tasks like cooking or cleaning would be totally fine with me too.
