Ciao to all the hosts around the world!

Our story started long before we met. Giuseppe was living in Dublin, shaped by the wild Irish landscapes and the rhythm of a life close to nature. I (Silvia) was in Bristol, discovering myself through travels, new experiences, different cultures, and a growing desire for something more meaningful.

Two different journeys… guided by the same quiet dream.

When we finally met, it felt natural — like two paths that had always been meant to cross.. Since then, we’ve been building not just a relationship, but a shared vision: a simple, intentional life connected to the earth.

We dream of creating our own ecofarm one day — a place where we can live sustainably, grow our own food, and build something real with our hands. But before that, we want to learn. Truly learn. From people who are already living this reality.

That’s why we are here!!

Workaway, for us, is not just a way to travel — it’s a way to grow, to understand, to become. We are ready to get our hands dirty, to wake up early, to learn every small detail that makes a self-sufficient life possible.

We bring with us strong motivation, curiosity, and a deep respect for nature and community. We both speak fluent English and feel at home in international environments. We are easygoing, adaptable, and genuinely happy to help wherever needed.

We love long hikes, quiet moments outdoors, and a lifestyle that nourishes both body and soul. We are happy to follow a mostly plant-based diet and believe in conscious, mindful living.

More than anything, we are looking for meaningful human connections — moments of sharing, learning, and growing together.

I (Silvia) have done several Workaway experiences around the world including Europe and Asia, so I understand very well the spirit of exchange, respect, and collaboration that makes this community so special. Together, we bring a mix of experience, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn!!

We are both very passionate about languages, a passion that led us both to travel a lot. The English language in particular opened up a new world for us, enhancing our appreciation for the nuances of communication and cultural expression. In addition to our enthusiasm for languages, we'd love to engage in cultural exchange through volunteering. We're confident that our background in language and cultural exchange will allow us to connect more deeply with the people we meet and contribute meaningfully to the community!!! Whether it’s through teaching English, assisting with local projects, or simply sharing stories, we are enthusiastic about using our skills to foster mutual understanding and friendship - this time as a couple!!! We are so thrilled at the idea of volunteering around the world and we look forward to the challenges and rewards that come with this experience. Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a kindergarten teacher living in the United Kingdom from 5 years, with 11 years of experience nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. Over the years, I have developed a wide range of skills that I believe will be highly valuable in any volunteering setting!!

In my teaching career, I have developed my communication skills, learning to convey complex ideas in simple and engaging ways. This ability to connect with individuals of all ages and backgrounds has always helped me to work effectively in diverse environments. My organizational skills are well-developed, as I regularly plan and execute lesson plans, manage classroom activities, and coordinate events. This experience has taught me to be adaptable and resourceful, qualities that are crucial for any volunteer project.

Creativity together with curiosity are at the heart of my teaching philosophy!!I am always looking for innovative ways to make learning fun and accessible, which involves crafting educational materials, organizing interactive activities, and integrating technology into my lessons. This creative approach will allow me to contribute fresh ideas and solutions in a volunteer setting.

Working with young children has also made me incredibly patient and empathetic. I understand the importance of listening, understanding different perspectives, and providing support when needed. These qualities make me a reliable and compassionate team member.

Throughout my career, I have successfully led various projects and initiatives (one was teach English to the Japanese community in Otaki village, Nagano, Japan!), such as organizing school events, leading extracurricular activities, and developing new teaching programs. These experiences have equipped me with strong leadership and project management skills.

I am passionate about cultural exchange and lifelong learning, which is why I am excited about the opportunity to volunteer through Workaway. I am eager to bring my skills and enthusiasm to your projects, contribute positively, and learn from the experiences and people I will meet along the way!!!

Was noch ...

In addition to my passion for languages and teaching, I have some hobbies that bring joy and balance to my life. One of my favorite activities is practicing Bikram yoga. The discipline and focus required in Bikram yoga have taught me resilience and mindfulness, qualities that I believe are invaluable in any setting. The practice also keeps me physically fit and mentally sharp, which helps me stay energetic and positive!!!

I also have a deep love for hiking. Being out in nature, exploring new trails, and pushing my physical limits is incredibly rewarding. Hiking has taught me perseverance and the joy of reaching new heights, both literally and metaphorically. I find that this hobby keeps me grounded and appreciative of the natural world, and it’s a great way to connect with others who share the same passion.

Cooking is another hobby that I cherish and that my lovely mum taught me. I love the traditional italian cuisine from my family but I enjoy experimenting with many different other foods and ingredients, which not only satisfies my creative side but also allows me to share delicious meals with friends and family. Cooking has taught me patience, attention to detail, and the joy of nurturing others through food. I am particularly excited about the prospect of learning to cook Japanese dishes and sharing my own culinary creations with my hosts and fellow volunteers!!!!

These hobbies not only enrich my life I believe but also give me with skills and experiences that I can bring to my volunteer work. I look forward to bringing my enthusiasm and skills to your project and learning from the unique experiences that you offer!!!!
