Howdy : )

I'm a tragically optimistic person who is both reflective and adventurous.

For my whole working life, I've been a journalist -- but I think that's about to change. Eek! I've always been a visual person and I love design. I want to learn about furniture restoration and upholstery.

I love textiles and pattern -- I've been a knitter since childhood and often design my own clothes. More recently, I've been fixing up a historic house in Philadelphia. So I'm pretty handy and extremely detailed. And I love learning new things! Please teach me : )

I'm very interested in learning languages. I took Latin in college (not very practical!) and I'm trying to learn French by using language apps. I'd also be interested in trying to learn Italian, Spanish, or Arabic.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I grew up in a fixer-upper house and I'm currently renovating my own fixer-upper, so I'm pretty handy with light carpentry, wallpapering, painting, basic masonry, etc.

I've worked on a farm, so I'm good with animals and familiar with mucking, feeding, etc.

I love textiles -- I'm a knitter and I also know how to sew.

Plus, I'm a fun person to have around! And I love to learn new things.

Was noch ...

One of my favorite things to do in a new place is to have a solo wander -- a long, winding, aimless walk about to figure out the feeling of the place, find where the grocery stores are, and generally amble. This can happen over the course of days or weeks ; )

I also like meeting new people and adventuring together -- discovering bars, restaurants, museums.

And I love a good scrabble night! Or a bonfire. Or a family dinner with lots of wine and accidentally intimate conversation. Let's get to know each other!
