Hello!

My name is Shannon aka Shan, my pronouns are they/them!

I am originally from Melbourne, Australia & I am having a 6 week holiday across Europe to reconnect with friends, enjoy some warmth, eat amazing food & expand my worldview. I have my own small business, marrying and hosting Love Ceremonies. I love this job & it brings me great fulfilment. I also facilitate anti-bullying workshops with young people in schools across Aus. Outside of work, I love to spend time with friends and family, immersed in nature, camping, cycling, hiking, exploring, seeing live art and music and eating and cooking delicious food. I play the guitar, hand pan and also sing. I love everything creative and have a really open mind to talk about psychology and philosophy.

I am very excited by the farm to plate & slow food movement that is engrained in Italian culture. I am really eager to spend a week working on the land, helping grow and tend to natural and organic plants. I love to get my hands dirty, try new things & learn from doing! I'd love to acquire the skills to understand how to build my own eco-farm/ garden one day.

I love community and being a part of community. My dream is to have a shared eco-self sustaining property, where we live off the land, gather for events and invite people into the space to care for the land and contribute their skills and talents.

I am doing workaway to get a real immersion into what the land has to offer in Italy. To connect with other likeminded people, to build my understanding and knowledge of living sustainably. Hey, maybe also motivating me to move to Italy one day to live the slow paced, intentional life the Italians do so well.

I'm super easy going, great in the kitchen, love being silly & also working hard.

My main skills are in gardening & cooking & being generally very open to learning.
I have spent time gardening for money and tending to properties in Australia, I love being outside immersed in nature - it's my happy place.

I have an event management background, so if you need help with organising the community for an event or in charity fundraising I am your person.

Generally, my positive energy, will to learn and curiosity in connecting with individuals is my strongest attributes.

Was noch ...

I love to move my body, dance & immerse in music! Particularly under the sun on a summers day. I get great joy from curious conversation and connecting with others. I also have a strong connection to spirit which I practice in ritual, meditation and yoga daily.
