Hi everyone ! We are Raphaëlle and Sasthyana and we're going on a trip to Latin America for 6 month from July 26. We're excited to get in touch with people, discover different cultures, practice spanish and enjoy the great nature. We'd like to experience our trip rather than go through a checklist of things to see, which is why we're keen to do some workaways.

I'm Sasthyana. I came from Martinique, an island in the French West Indies. I'm moving a lot last years for my study so I can adapt. I can be shy at the begining but when I'm comfortable I'm funny (that's what my friend say). I enjoy being in nature and everything with water (lake, ocean, river...). I study during soooo many years so I can learn quickly and be hardworking but I would like to reconnect with myself and humans and slowdown.
I learned spanish in school. I spoke very well but now I lost it a little bit. I hope I will improve.

I'm Raphaelle, 30yo, from the south of France. And I've lived in Japan for 5 years during my 20s, so I like to think that it has influenced me in some ways. I love meeting interesting people and learning new things, and I've been an active couchsurfer for many years.
I am quite active and love the outdoors in general, hiking, climbing, surfing... I also like physical work like construction, farming, fixing stuf. You can also find me with a film camera or a flute. But really, you can interest me in pretty much anything.
My Spanish is very much beginner leve, but I speak other languages too so I'm sure I will be a quick-learner!

¡Hola a todos! Somos Raphaëlle y Sasthyana y nos vamos de viaje a Latinoamérica durante 6 meses a partir del 26 de julio. Estamos emocionadas por conocer gente, descubrir diferentes culturas, practicar español y disfrutar de la naturaleza. Queremos vivir el viaje al máximo, en lugar de seguir una lista de cosas que ver, por eso nos interesa hacer voluntariado (workaways).

Soy Sasthyana. Soy de Martinica, una isla francesa en el Caribe. Me mude mucho los ultimos años para estudiar entonces me adapto facilmente.
Las primeras veces, soy timida pero despues soy divertida (según mis amigas). Me gusta estar en la naturaleza y en el agua. Estudio durante muchos años entonces aprendo rapidamente y soy trabajadora pero me gustaría tomarme el tiempo. Me gustaría ser mas proximo de mí y de los humanos.
Aprendé español a la escuela, era buena pero olvidé un puco. Tengo la esperanza de mejorarme.

Soy Raphaelle, tengo 30 años y soy del sur de Francia. Viví en Japón durante 5 años cuando tenía veintitantos, así que creo que me influyó de alguna manera. Me encanta conocer gente interesante y aprender cosas nuevas, y llevo muchos años usando Couchsurfing.
Soy bastante activa y me encanta la naturaleza en general: senderismo, escalada, surf... También me gusta el trabajo físico, como la construcción, la agricultura y arreglar cosas. También me puedes encontrar con una cámara de fotos o una flauta. En realidad, me interesa casi cualquier cosa.
Mi español es de nivel principiante, pero también hablo otros idiomas, ¡así que seguro que aprendo rápido!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Sasthyana: I'm a family doctor back in France, so I can take care of emergencies if needed. I like to take care of others and I am used to seeing many different people everyday, so I would be skilled at social work too. I have also given classes to med students and I feel comfortable teaching others. I have studied cinema in high school and made some short movies, so I can shoot and edit videos. I love being in nature and would be open to learning new skills related to preserving it. I am physically strong and I can climb so I can handle physical work too.

Raphaelle: I have worked for my family business in France which is a vineyard - so I know some things about agriculture and driving tractors... I have also done dairy cow farming in New Zealand: mainly milking, calving, and odd jobs. Environment and nature in general is something that I am interested in and knowledgeable about, having a masters degree is the topic. I also know about composting and biotoilets, as it was my thesis' topic. I like to fix and build things too. I love taking and editing photographs.
I would love to learn about eco construction, as I am planning to study about this topic when I go back to France and make it my job.
