Hi! I’m Sara—currently living in California, where I’ve been working as a professional planner/engineer in the traffic and transportation field. While I’ve appreciated my career, I’ve also felt an undeniable pull toward a simpler, more connected life—closer to nature, community, and purpose.

I’m currently taking a break from the 9-to-5 lifestyle to travel, expand my experiences, and live in more mindful and meaningful ways. What excites me most is the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, hear their stories, and contribute to projects that are rooted in nature, creativity, and conscious living.

I feel most alive when surrounded by mountains, meadows, trees, and wild landscapes. I love working with my hands, getting a little dusty, and feeling the earth beneath my feet. While I don’t have experience in sustainable farming yet, I’m genuinely eager to learn and not afraid to dive in.

I’ve been practicing yoga and meditation for years and have been on a spiritual journey for much of my life. I’m also a certified Reiki practitioner and happy to offer healing sessions where appropriate. I’m especially drawn to Workaway experiences that involve:

- Nature-based or off-grid living
- Yoga and meditation retreats
- Sustainable communities
- Creative, art-based or cultural exchange projects

- Reiki energy healing

I speak English and Farsi (I was born in Iran) fluently and love to learn about other cultures, languages, and ways of life. I’m traveling not just to see new places—but to be part of something real, grounded, and soulful.

As mentioned I am an engineer, so I can help with the computer related tasks.
My background is in Architecture and Urban Design, So I can help with design projects. I can help with photoshop, editing pictures, designing posters, fact sheets etc.
I can also help with the language exchange. Farsi (Persian) is my mother language and I can fluently speak English as my second language.
I love animals especially cats. I am a cat lover.
I can also help with cooking and general housekeeping tasks. And I can make you delicious Persian foods if you like Middle Eastern cuisine.
I am good at organizing and keeping the living place neat and tidy. would love helping with paint project and gardening as well.

Handpan is my favorite music instrument and I am currently learning it.
