I am interested in farming/gardening, yoga, mindfulness, horses, hiking, camping, swimming, rock climbing, music festivals, and basically anything that will get me outside in the sun!

Hi there!

I am a hard worker that is always seeking new experiences to expand my world view and help shape a better future for myself and others. Traveling for me has always been rooted in giving back and exploring places through the eyes of those who live there.
I've traveled around the US a good bit and done a few international volunteer trips to Jamaica, Thailand, Colombia, and the Bahamas (and am now traveling through Australia). These experiences made me thoroughly obsessed with traveling and meeting new people and all the many joys that come along with this.
I am extremely open minded and always excited to try new things. I am most definitely a bit of a thrill seeker (top of my list right now is to go bungee jumping one day!)
I am a certified yoga instructor and love to share this wonderful practice with others when I have the chance. I think there is much to be learned from the yogic path whether you are a practitioner of the physical asana or not.
I also grew up around animals so I have such a love for all of them!!! I'm particularly fond of horses and hope to run into a few of them throughout my travels. I have experience caring for horses as well as riding. I'm very interested in equine assisted therapy, but have not had much experience with it yet. I plan to eventually get a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and pair this with Equine Assisted Therapy.
I've worked at a dog daycare (over a year) as well as a dog sitter (8 years), and have a solid knowledge of dog behavior and caring for them. I love every dog I meet :)
In Australia I’ve been volunteering at a Dingo rescue as well and learning about their behavior.
My hopes with workaway are to travel and really to get know people along the way.

I am a certified yoga instructor (200 hr) and am happy to teach and share my knowledge.

I'm a native English speaker and do not speak any other languages but would be happy to help someone with their English.

I have lots of experience with taking care of all types of animals so I am always happy to help out there. I have the most experience with dog and horse care.

My college background has made me knowledgeable in Sociology (my major) and Environmental Science (my minor) and I've used these skills to work on urban farming projects in my local community.

I'm a great planner and organizer.

I've managed social media accounts for a past job, so can assist social media management.

I'm an avid hiker and nature lover. I spend any moment I can outdoors which is a big part of why I am choosing to join workaday. I like to push myself out of my comfort zone and strive to learn as much about myself and the world as I can.
