Hello! My name is Rosalynn. I live in Montreal, Quebec, though I'm originally from Salt Spring Island in British Colombia.

At the moment, I'm working remotely while travelling around the world. While I’m a software developer by trade, my true passions are writing, music, and photography. In my travels, I love to spend time in nature, play guitar, read books from the countries I visit, and to connect with the people I meet along the way.

My motivation in joining Workaway is to experience new things, exchange culture, practice my French, get my hands dirty in the garden, and learn new DIY skills. I'm looking to experience the kind of slow living that is most natural to me, but hard to find in my current time in life.

I'm adaptable, hard working, and give careful attention to detail. I have an eclectic blend of skills and a boundless excitement for learning new things!

I was a cheese maker for several years before I became a software developer, and I also spent a year working as a goat shepherd. I’ve dabbled in hydroponics and have an excellent green thumb, though I’ve never worked as a professional gardener. I studied a little beekeeping in university and am comfortable working in an apiary. I'm capable of solving minimal DIY problems around the house.

In addition, I also have experience bartending, working events, cleaning, volunteering at theatres, and helping urban gardening initiatives around Montreal.
