Hi :)

My name is Rémi, I’m 20 years old and currently studying life sciences in France. I am especially interested in computational biology, combining maths, computer science and biology.

I am an active and curious person who enjoys discovering new environments, meeting people, and learning practical skills. I love being outdoors : hiking, trekking, and spending time in nature are very important to me.

Last year, I spent 40 days in Finland where I helped renovate a wooden cabin in the forest. I worked on different tasks such as building a wooden ceiling, installing a large window, working with concrete, sanding, painting, and general maintenance. This experience taught me a lot about manual work, autonomy, and living in a simple and remote environment.

I also have hands-on experience with DIY projects from helping my father renovate our house, and I helped build a greenhouse for a neighbour. I enjoy working with my hands and I’m always motivated to learn new practical skills.

I can also help with daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, and taking care of shared spaces. I am reliable, respectful, and I take my responsibilities seriously. I adapt easily to different lifestyles, including simple or off-grid living conditions.

In addition, I have strong digital skills (websites, video editing, tech support), and I would be happy to help if needed.

I speak fluent French and English, and I have an intermediate level in Italian.
I also play the piano and would be happy to share music if you have one

I am always motivated to contribute, learn, and share a positive experience with hosts.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m currently studying bioinformatics and computational biology, so I’m very comfortable with computers and digital tools. I can help you with creating websites, editing videos, setting up blogs, or supporting you with anything digital or tech-related.

🧑‍🍳 While I’m not a professional cook, I love discovering new dishes and eating well! I can definitely help with cooking, assist in meal prep, and even introduce you to a few classic French recipes (just the basics though — don’t expect any Paul Bocuse level dishes 😉).

🌱 I enjoy gardening and have hands-on experience growing a variety of vegetables at home like tomatoes, strawberries, zucchinis, potatoes, peas, and broad beans. I’m happy to help in any outdoor or gardening activities.

🛠️ I also have some basic DIY skills. My father renovated our entire old house, and I’ve learned a lot from him (from using tools to completing small tasks myself) I even helped build a large glass greenhouse for our neighbour over three days.

I’m very curious, and love learning new things. I’m always happy to help, get my hands dirty, or simply share a good moment around a project or a meal
