We are Petra and Róbert, a kind-hearted, motivated couple currently taking a gap year to explore the world, meet inspiring people, and grow — both personally and together — through shared experiences, learning, and contribution.

For us, this year is about slowing down, stepping out of our comfort zones, and reconnecting with what truly matters: meaningful human connection, inner growth, and intentional living. We are looking for opportunities where we can support families and communities in real, practical ways, and also deepen our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

🧡 About Petra

Petra recently graduated from high school with excellent results and holds a qualification in early childhood education and care. She is passionate about children’s well-being, and plans to study psychology in English next year.

She has worked in restaurants and ice cream shops, and as a summer cleaner, so she’s experienced in hospitality and household work. Coming from a large family with many children, she naturally connects with kids — people often say she has a warm and intuitive way with them.

Petra also enjoys supporting family life in simple, everyday ways: she’s happy to help with shopping, cooking, cleaning, and keeping the home running smoothly. She finds joy in making life easier for others and creating a peaceful, nurturing atmosphere. Petra loves being involved in all kinds of activities with children — from playing, feeding, and caring to teaching and supporting them in whatever they may need. She is also happy to help wherever animals are involved.

Psychology is important to her because she believes that mental health is just as vital as physical health. She’s fascinated by how people develop, what shapes them, and how she could help them find inner peace and emotional balance. She feels that early childhood is the most powerful stage for growth, and she wants to be part of that journey for others.

🔧 About Róbert

Róbert is practical, kind, and hardworking, with hands-on experience in hospitality, gardening, general maintenance, and harbor operations. He’s worked in various environments where reliability, flexibility, and teamwork were essential.

He’s skilled in:
• Basic renovation work (painting, tiling, small repairs)
• Outdoor tasks (mowing, pruning, garden care, firewood)
• Cooking hearty, homemade meals
• General house help, from cleaning to organizing

Róbert enjoys cooking and doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty — whether it’s in the kitchen, garden, or during DIY projects. He’s calm, respectful, and always happy to help where needed. When it comes to children, he interacts with them in a gentle and playful way. He’s patient, grounded, and brings a sense of safety and calm wherever he goes — something many kids are drawn to.

He also enjoys gardening and doing practical work around the house, from building things to fixing what needs attention.

🐾 About us as a couple

We both adore animals, especially dogs, and have grown up around them since childhood. We believe animals are true companions, deserving just as much care and respect as humans. We’re always happy to help with pet care, dog walking, or simply spending quality time with them.

We love being in natural surroundings, especially near water and greenery. Nature helps us feel connected, grounded, and inspired. We’re both adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable living simply. Whether it’s sharing stories, joining in on a project, or just lending a helping hand — we value community, creativity, and kindness.

We are happy to assist with a wide range of tasks — from childcare, gardening, household work, pet care, shopping, and cooking, to general maintenance. We are both independent, quick learners, and able to take initiative when needed.

We are both extroverted and social, and we genuinely enjoy spending time with others — whether it’s working, sharing stories, or simply connecting.

📅 Availability

We’re available from July 2025 to August 2026, and happy to stay from a few days up to 1-2 months, depending on your needs.
We are both easygoing, open-minded and eager to learn.
