Hello! My name is Niamh, I'm 23 and I was born and raised in the highlands of Scotland. Travelling has always been a dream of mine and while I am currently finishing off a degree in Environmental Sciences I thought work away could be a great chance to see some new places in a safe environment. I love learning new skills and am passionate about the outdoors, having grown up around so much natural beauty in the hills and lochs near my home. I'm an animal lover (4 dogs and 2 cats at home as well as chickens, sheep and various rodents throughout my childhood), an avid cook, piano player, and I enjoy dabbling in creative writing and the occasional drawing. I grew up playing multiple sports as well as swimming and rowing. I was PR convenor and Beginner Captain on the committee of my University rowing club during my first degree in Microbiology, which i transferred out of to explore my passion for the environment. It would bring me so much happiness to see some new areas, meet some new people and learn all they have to offer.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am physically capable, with experience in many sports specifically rowing, swimming and running. I am able to lift heavy and work hard in physically demanding roles. I have a lot of outdoor experience, hill walking,thru- hiking, wild swimming, and years of scouts growing up give me many transferable skills and resilience. I have excellent teamwork and communication skills built through my years as a rower. I have over 7 years of experience in customer service so my interpersonal skills are also excellent. While I only speak English fluently, I have a huge appreciation for languages and would love to learn more. I have a small amount of French from school and have tried my hand at German and Swedish using duolingo. My current studies focus on environmental science, however, I previously studied microbiology for 4 years. I have a great level of attention to detail and enjoy both great adventures and simple tasks. I am easy going, and can quickly adapt to new circumstances and requirements of any role. I consider myself a good cook, confirmed by family and friends, and find huge joy and relaxation in the kitchen. It is something that comes fairly naturally to me so once I see a recipe acted out, I love to challenge myself to recreate it without instruction. I play the piano, although I have lost my ability to sight-read music so I play from memory. I have grown up with many animals so have complete experience in the care of dogs, cats, and chickens as well as a lot of experience around sheep, horses, and mice.
