Hello, everyone on Workaway! :)

My name is Nati, and I'm so excited to be joining this site. My friend from the UK did a few workaways in the pasts and raved about them, so I thought I'd finally sign up now that COVID restrictions are lifting. :) I am originally from Canada, but I've lived in the UK and in South Korea and I absolutely love living in other countries or engaging in 'slow travel'. I also feel very drawn to the concept of websites like Workaway, where we can engage in this beautiful exchange of skills and feel like we are part of community living (rather than individualism).

My greatest happiness is travel, and along with that I have about a million hobbies! During the pandemic, I decided to cook my way across the world since I couldn't be so mobile, and that has been a major success. I also love hiking, cycling, reading, photography.. and other random activities I dabble in. I love meeting new people and going on new adventures. I've realised I can't predict where life takes me, and sometimes that's not a bad thing!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My main set of skills is teaching and working with children. In June I will be graduating from the Teacher Education program in Canada and be an official teacher. I also taught English in South Korea for four years before entering the program. I love to cook, and I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty! I am happy to clean and work with animals, and I love being outside. Although this was many years ago, I stayed with my mother's family in India which was on a farm and my relatives had me helping out with their daily tasks.

As I mentioned earlier, I have way too many hobbies and am always finding new things that interest me. I love to be in nature, and these days you can find me in the national park that is near my house. In Korea, I loved biking and I would go on 80km bike rides on a weekend afternoon. I have finally hopped onto the plant bandwagon and am constantly researching plant care for my new babies. My roommate is also teaching me to crochet right now. I'm a bit of a jack of all trades at this point, I think!
