Hello ٩(^ᴗ^)۶
I'm Aliyah and I am a 25 year old presently living in Seattle!

I'm a program manager for youth science and tech program in Washington as well as a multi-disciplinary artist who works primarily with paint, sculpture and making music on my synthesizer! Also, a major lover of cats including my own Mr. Teddy Freddy.

More recently I have been diving into outdoor recreation exploring the beauty of Duwamish and Coast Salish lands. Activities like fishing, hiking, swimming, and bird watching keep me grounded as each season welcomes the next!

I also love consuming art from independent graphic novels to art-house cinema (my favorite director is Edward Yang and yes Yi Yi did change me).

I come from a mixed background (Chicanx + Malayali), and grew up for part of my life on a homestead amongst elk, deer, bears and cougars.

I love to travel in order to experience a new place in its fullness rather than in a sporadic sampling.

1. Taking care of young children and preparing family meals (Indian cuisine and more)
2. Experience with editing audio (on Adobe Audition and Ableton Live)
3. I'm an experienced illustrator (I have worked for a tattoo studio illustrating designs, have made designs and merchandise for Musicians such as Umi)
4. I've help with local non-profits in organizing mutual aid-drives and fundraisers and hosted community event with low-budgets
5. I have lived independently since 18, and can tend to taking care of a home (gardening, cleaning...)

1. I worked for a public radio station when I was in high school (the local Seattle NPR affiliate)
2. I am South Indian (Malayali) and Mexican
3. I moved to the United States when I was a baby with my mother
4. I love making really long playlists on Spotify
5. I have a large houseplant collection (I sadly wouldn't be able to travel with)
6. I participate in mutual-aid projects for food distribution locally in Seattle
7. I have given a ted-talk (about the commodification of people of color's images)
8. I like to play Catan, RPGs (stardew valley in particular) and Wii games with my roommates
