Beschreibung

Hi, my name is Monika, 29 years old from Poland. I want to start living my life fully, while connecting with nature and people all over the world.

Few years ago I finished International Culture Studies in Krakow. After this I worked for some time in a cafe and had trouble with finding a job in my profession. Those few months were really hard for me and gave me the push to do something that I always wanted to do - travel the world. I moved out of Krakow and worked abroad to save money for my travels. Last year I was travelling through Spain and Portugal for 5 months staying with different workaway hosts and helping out. This year I want to travel Vietnam and maybe other countries here, which was my dream for a long time. I still hope to learn as much as I can, find amazing places along the way and most of all meet wonderful people, share our life experiences and maybe inspire one another :)

I have a few Workaway experiences so far. I helped with different things like cleaning the rooms and common spaces, gardening (weeding, planting vegetables and trees, proccesing cut branches), feeding animals, walking the dogs. I also painted a wall mural with two other volunteers.

I love being in nature, some of my favourite outdoor activities are hiking, trekking, kayaking and camping. I also practice yoga. I'm a spontaneous and open-minded person, I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures and life experiences. I enjoy cooking, photography, going to flea markets and second-hand shops (I love giving new life to old things) and listening to music. I love to draw and paint with watercolours in my free time. I would like to try my hand in another mural (so far I did it twice).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I worked in gastronomy for a few years, so I have a lot of skills related to dealing with customers, making coffee and other drinks, making food, washing dishes and cleaning in general. I also worked for six months at a hotel in Germany. I was responsible mostly for cleaning of the guest rooms and public areas, but I also helped in the kitchen.

I learn really quickly, I'm hardworking and I can easily adapt to different task: I can help with all household work (inside and outside), DIY projects. I'd love to help with animal care, I was a volunteer at a cat shelter, so I have some experience.
I can help with gardening, growing up I often helped my mum with planting, cleaning up the weeds and picking vegetables and fruits.

This year I did a lot of painting and drawing. I mostly use ink, colour pencils and watercolours, but I also did a wall mural in my childhood room with acrylic paints. I still have a lot to learn, that's why I would love to help with any artistic and DIY projects.

I'd love to help with renovating and building projects. I have a little bit of experience with painting walls and I'd like to learn more.
