Hola! My name is Mariya and most people call me Masha. I am a remote online student currently finishing up my degree in sustainability. In the past few years, I have built several gardens and worked at a farm-to-fork restaurant. I have also helped renovate several properties, as I love interior design and fixing up homes. Most recently this past summer, I volunteered on a permaculture farm in Spain where I built gardens, took care of animals, and grew mushrooms. I had the time of my life and I'd like to gain even more experience working on sustainability projects while also improving my Spanish. I studied Spanish for several years when I was younger and always dreamt of traveling abroad. An ideal situation for me would be to find a comfortable place to stay where I can help with sustainability projects and bring some of my home-making and creative skills to the table while engaging with nature. I love to cook, organize, create art, grow vegetables, forage, and experiment with permaculture design. During this coming spring I will be finishing up my degree, but I only need to take two more classes to graduate, so I am eager to fill my free time with a new adventure! I hope to find a suitable place to stay where I can be of service while also expanding my own horizons.

Was noch ...

I have been dreaming of coming to Spain since my childhood and was planning a homestay in 2020 until my plans got cancelled due to the pandemic. However, things worked out for the best because I ended up going back to school and since I am fully remote I can still travel! I will not be studying during the summer, but I am interested in learning as much as I can from hands on experience with sustainability projects. I long to be near the ocean and would like to explore cities, but I also love venturing into the woods and being one with nature. I love dancing, hiking, yoga, art, animals, and music. I love getting to know people and going on different adventures, but I also love my downtime and can easily entertain myself. I hope to meet other down to earth people who just want to enjoy life and make the world a better, more sustainable place.
