Hi I’m Malena, 21 years old and from Germany. Since I was little my parents have been showing me and my sister the world by traveling as much as possible. That’s probably when I developed this curiosity for different cultures, way of life’s, morals and values, religions and traditions. Beaches or mountains, no matter which vegetation, Im super fascinated. I love living close to nature as it gives me so much calmness and it grounds me a lot. I like to live in a way that has the smallest possible impact on this planet as possible even though it is difficult often. I’m a vegan as well, but an uncomplicated one. I’m happy with whatever as long as it is plant-based. And if that's not possible whilst traveling, I'm okay with making some exceptions.
I started by Psychology Bachelor last year and want to use my summer break to work and volunteer.
I’m a really open minded and reliable person with a very positive outlook on life. I tend to see mostly the good in everyone and everything which makes it natural for me to be empathetic and cooperative. I do find myself being the listener often but I also like being silly and outgoing.
I have experience working in hospitality: barista in a cafe, kitchen hand in a 4-star hotel and many more little jobs here and there.
I'm passionate about animal care, conservation work, beach cleanups and just being in touch with nature's creation. I'm a super curious person and love learning new skills.
I started learning English in grade 2 and since then spend one year in Canada studying on a high school in British Columbia. I recently did a work and travel in New Zealand which helped strengthen my English again.

My English is on a pretty good level as I studied abroad for one year and travelled around New Zealand the last 7 months. I don’t have any experience teaching but I generally am good in working with people in all ages.
I worked in my church group as a team leader for children between 13 and 16 years old. We did game instructions, round of talks and making music together.
I worked in a cafe for nearly two years and in the kitchen of a hotel which taught me the basics of customer service, hygiene and barista skills. I love interacting with guest and prioritizing their happiness.
I’m a really active person, I love being outside in nature and giving something back to planet. I love animals and grew up around them as well.
I’m super open to learn any kind of new skills and am really adaptable!! Things on my list that I want to try are surfing, creating websites, teaching smaller kids and working in more hospitality related jobs.
I don't mind getting dirty and working outside in all weathers.

hiking and everything outdoor related!! Being active in nature, hiking up mountains and exploring is the best way for me to get to know a country.
