Planning on travelling Norway this summer!

Beschreibung

Hey everyone!:) My name is Maja, I am 23 years old and from Germany. I just finished my Bachelor's degree in Psychology and I am looking forward to finally traveling again over the summer!

Maybe a few things about me first - I think I am a rather empathetic, thoughtful and laid back person. I am open to all kinds of adventures, experiences and people!:) I very much value spending time with others, getting to know their view on life and learning about their experiences, but I also don't mind doing things alone and enjoy having time for myself sometimes. I am very open and interested to learn about all sorts of things, like for example different cultures & languages, nature, sustainability... That's also why I love traveling so much. This is why I am so so eager to be able to break out of my routines and schedules over the summer and experience different things (before going back to Uni the fall to start my Master's).

I have had the privilege to travel lots in my life and even lived in Portugal for 3 1/2 years when I was younger, in the USA for a year as a teenager and recently spent my Erasmus semester in Oslo, Norway. I have work experience in hospitality, administration and clinical psychology through different jobs and internships. In 2022 I volunteered on a small farm over the summer for a few weeks and also worked for an elderly lady to help her in her household and garden -I greatly enjoyed both volunteering experiences!

For this summer, I'm planning to travel mostly Norway for around two months. I spent my Erasmus semester in Oslo and had the absolute best time there. But, I didn't get to travel around (especially not up to the North of Norway) and connect with as many locals I would have hoped, so I'd love to catch up on that now and also meet other Internationals along the way!:)

I don't necessarily have any experience in teaching languages but I am open to try to teach someone a bit German or English! Very interested in improving my Norwegian again, since what I learned during my Erasmus is starting to dwindle.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have lived in and traveled to a good amount of countries and believe I definitely have some stories and cultural knowledge to share, as well as for example teach you a bit of German. I have experience with dealing with different people and environments and love caring for people and helping them however I can.
I have some experience with animals (e.g. horses and dogs) and I would love to learn more and work with animals of all sorts. I am also open to learning more about nature, gardening etc.
Apart from that I have some knowledge when it comes to computeres, cameras and designing media products since that is something I enjoy doing in my free time/while traveling.
Usual chores around the house are something I can take care of as well of course, especially cooking/baking since that is something I enjoy:)
I have worked both in hospitality and administration and feel confident helping out with tasks connected to these areas as well.

In general I am very open, willing and eager to learn new things!
