HI! I'm a mature, semi-retired animal lover who spent 20 years working as an animal nurse in a veterinary clinic. I've been vegan for 30+ years. I'm interested in walking (with dogs, of course), movies, travel, games, and just general sightseeing. I also have a BS in journalism, and I can help with editing in English.

Mary came to my lovely island for a visit and as a vegan of 30 years sought a place which could accommodate this. I am not a vegan but was happy to stretch my horizons for the two weeks she was here. This was truly a wonderful workaway experience.
Anir treats her workawayers as guests. She gives us the biggest bedroom with a wonderful, small balcony overlooking the charming village, and she gives us sole use of a large, well-equipped bathroom adjacent to the bedroom. Time has flown by, that's because you're one of my best workaway guests!
You really know about tackling things and that made it easier for me, because I'm not very good with calling the shots. Although we were not lucky with the weather, we were still able to work in the garden. We could make trips and walks.

Vom Workawayer () für Host
(Stay by the sea and pet sit ...)
At some point during my two-week stay in Dagmar's home I surprised myself by writing a friend to say I loved her dogs more than my own! Leaving them, and the personality-plus cat, was way tougher than I ever imagined and I hope all Dagmar's workawayers treat them with the kindness and love they most certainly deserve.

Mary is such an amazing woman, she bonded with the animals straight away and as she's as a fellow-vegan, I enjoyed all the dishes she magicked up. Although I was working every day during the week, we only had evenings and some personal time during the weekend. But I thouroughly enjoyed Mary's company and our chats.
