Hi, thanks for taking the time to read our profile! :)

We are Lukas and Issie (22 & 23) and we met whilst studying in Granada, Spain almost 3 years ago! Issie is British (with dual Irish citizenship so she has an EU passport) and Lukas is German. We now live together in Konstanz, Germany.

Lukas has just finished his Bachelor's degree and Issie is working as an English teacher. Lukas also helps children with dyscalculia alongside his studies.

Between us, we speak English, German, and Spanish.

In our free time, we love exploring new places (nearby and further away), trying new food, and cooking. Our most recent trip was to Portugal and Morocco, it was fantastic! Lukas is a keen padel tennis player and Issie likes painting and running. We also enjoy cycling and hiking when we can, and swimming in the nearby lake. We are both friendly and sociable, and we can also enjoy some quiet time. We are excited to work as Workawayers to see more of the world, meet new people and learn from them, and experience different lifestyles!

Other things to note: we are non-smokers, we are vegetarian (but we eat fish sometimes and have no problem with others eating meat), we don't drink much alcohol.

We'd both love to practice our Spanish. Issie speaks fluently (although she's gotten a bit rusty) and Lukas is upper-intermediate (B2). Lukas is happy to help you practice your German, and Issie is learning German currently. Issie is an English teacher so would be pleased to help out with English practice.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We enjoy spending time with children of different ages and we both currently work with children on a weekly basis. We'd be very happy to play with kids, cook with them, and help out with general childcare. We're both active and enjoy sports but Lukas especially would be very keen for a competitive game of football or tennis, or anything really!

We love dogs! Issie's parents got a playful labradoodle when she was a child so she has plenty of experience of caring for and playing with her. We both enjoy being around animals.

Issie is an English teacher and Lukas helps kids with maths so we'd be happy to help out with homework, for example, or, in Issie's case, organise regular English lessons.

Although we only have a balcony at home, we enjoy growing plants in the space. At the moment we have tomato plants and an olive tree, for example. We'd love to help out in your garden and learn more from you. Heavy-lifting will have to be left to Lukas though!

We both love cooking! We are vegetarians but we sometimes eat fish, and neither of us have a problem with cooking meat even though we won't eat it. We enjoy cooking for others and we'd also love to learn new recipes from you.

Of course, we are both happy to help out with household chores as well as odd jobs. Lukas has more experience with repairs etc., but we both enjoy learning new things and always put in 100% effort.

Was noch ...

Our favourite things to cook: Asian food, various pasta dishes, Mediterranean/Middle Eastern foods burritos, cosy British + German classics, and more! We're not so experienced with baking so we'd be very happy to learn from you.

Games we like to play: football, basketball, tennis, table tennis...

Other: Issie likes ice skating and roller blading. We both cycle daily. We'd both love to get into bouldering. We also love relaxing outside with a good book. And we're keen yet amateur photographers.

Our favourite places we've visited together so far: Andalucía, Lake Como, the Swiss Alps, Edinburgh, Lisbon and Porto, Atlas Mountains in Morocco.
