Beschreibung

Hello, my name is Linda, I’m 18 years old and from Germany. I finished school this summer and before starting university next October, I'm spending some time in New Zealand with a Working Holiday Visa and would love to experience life “on the other side of the globe”!

I am an outgoing and easy-going person who loves new experiences, meeting people, and who isn’t shy of hands-on work. Fortunately, language isn’t an issue for me, as I consider myself fluent in English. Besides German being my mother tongue, I also have some basic knowledge of French.

I also love spending time outdoors, whether that means being out all day or simply going for a hike in nature. This together with my love for animals is why I used to ride horses for some time when I was younger.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, meeting up with friends and I am often found being creative through drawing, painting or crafting, with a song on my lips.

Even though I found my love for travelling through my family, who have taken me to many places around the world, this is the first time I’m travelling alone — and my first time in New Zealand. Admittedly, that does makes it a little intimidating. However, having had the opportunity to experience many different cultures already, I feel excited and open to join a welcoming environment, helping where I can, and contributing to the people I meet or the places I work and stay at, while learning more about myself in the process.
With that, I provide a positive attitude, reliability, and an eager willingness to help wherever I’m needed. I enjoy taking initiative, learning quickly, and adapting to new situations — whether that involves household tasks, childcare, looking after animals, outdoor work, or simply being an extra pair of hands.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In school, I used to supervise younger students during their homework assignments, and I often babysat for friends, meaning that I have experience working with children which is something I genuinely enjoy. Also, in my final years at school I was the head of our organizing team for events, fundraising etc.
Furthermore I have experience with working in the kitchen of a cafe, which tought me work better under pressure.
