It was the 28th December 2020 when we received the news that all flights in and out of Bulgaria had been canceled and we were unable to get back to the UK where we lived. What was supposed to be a short skiing holiday over the Xmas period then turned into us selling everything we owned and traveling the world. It's been over a year into our journey and we're loving it so far.

Fueled by the recent loss of our 10 year old son and his mother, the courage to make such a move wasn't too hard, in fact we'd had a calling to do something 'radical' for several months previously. The family's effort at doing the 192 mile Coast to Coast walk from England's west coast to its east didn't suffice, and it just left a longing to do something braver and bolder. We'd been taught the hard way just how short life can be, so living it to its fullest made perfect sense.

Both my partner and me are 41 years old. We have two children that travel with us - Betty who is 5 years old with the confidence of a mature 30-year-old. She craves dialogue and has the kindest heart of any child that I've ever known. Otis is 11 years old and this journey appears to be as healing as it is exciting for him. He's keen to put in the work but is easily distracted by anything petrol-related, especially if it's got wheels!

We're a very motivated family with the sorts of skills that individually are desirable, but collectively, are hugely complimentary. Steve (INTJ) has strong problem-solving skills while Liz (ENFP) has fantastic people and leadership skills. Steve is very technical and has managed many projects from building refurbishments to growing small companies. Anyhting computer-related comes natural to Steve and he currently has several Fiverr gigs helping his clients with anything from spreadsheets to websites. Liz loves to spend her spare time in the kitchen and relishes the opportunity to make people happy by organising their events and planning ours and other friend's holidays.

As a family we love nature, especially walking and long-distance walks.
Steve and the kids love Scuba Diving, Skiing, Running, Swimming, Trampolining & Cycling. Liz is amazing at painting rocks.

To counter the above, we drink socially and take time to relax when we can. We love finding good food. Betty is amazing at Guess Who!
