Hi there,

My name is Josée Maurice from Montréal, Canada. I'm a full-time traveller who speaks fluent English and French, and learning Español slowly but surely :).

I absolutely love the outdoors. I did my masters in Sustainable Development, focusing specifically on water & wastewater infrastructure but my interests spread wide, I love to learn about agriculture, micro farming, economic development, community work and more. I am motivated by self-sustaining communities/farms and am hoping to gain more practical experience working in these types of environments. Contributing to the community I'm living in (be it short term or long term) is also extremely important to me.

My favourite place in the world are the Canadian Rockies, because I feel happiest trekking in the mountains with my friends but I also love spending time by and learning about the ocean through diving and surfing. I hope to obtain my DiveMasters in the Philippines next year.

My work experiences lie mainly in sales, so I am a good people person and strong communicator. I've also worked in South Africa where I led nature conservation workshops for children, economic growth/entrepreneurship workshops for adults, supported educational modules for a community centre, etc.

I love to play volleyball, read books, meditate and do yoga. I am a huge animal lover, I worked at a dog shelter for two years in Mexico, and have owned dogs and cats in the past. I also love to cook with friends and learn about new cultures.
