Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I'm an interdisciplinary artist & researcher and have lived in many countries. My personal investigations right now are centered on practices for inhabiting damaged ecologies and imagining futures we can all live in. This makes me interested in a lot of relationships between humans and other species, healing/caring practices and ecofeminism as part of everyday life.

I have lived communally and shared spaces in an array of contexts - as a volunteer, workawayer, living in a co-op house, at an artist community, etc. This means I also can and do love to cook large amounts of (mostly veggie) food to share with others!

I have experience as an english, theater & arts teacher in alternative educational settings, having done that as my main occupation for a few years. I also have experience babysitting and taking care of children. I always have lots of ideas and want to try out new things!
I love the sea, moving and learning about and using medicinal plants.

I was more active on workaway a few years ago and am trying to go back to it now, with the hope to find caring humans and places to exchange experiences with. I know there's nothing in my profile but I can provide references!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have experience with
-Planning and teaching (english, theater & arts) to children & teens 3-14 - even though I'm originally from Portugal I'm a native-level english speaker (I sound like I'm from the USA since I did my undergraduate degree there for 4 years) and have previously worked at places that exclusively hire native teachers.
-Teaching conversational English to adults
-Planning and teaching theater & expressive arts to adults
-Organic gardening / farming, food processing & preserving / fermenting, medicinal herbs & making medicinal herb preparations, seed saving, animal care

I also am very keen on learning languages and do so fast so besides native Portuguese & English I also speak fluent Spanish and Catalan.

Was noch ...

I have some basics of expressive arts therapies & non violent communication and appreciating using these skills.
I'll be doing my PhD research while on Workaway so I'll probably be reading & writing a bit and looking forward to have interesting conversations about art & collective survival.
I may be interested in serious topics but part of my theater background is also clowning :o)
I love silly jokes and am always ready to laugh out loud with you!
