Beschreibung

Hello! We are Jacob and Simi, I am a sailor and music producer from Michigan, USA, and Simi is a vegan chef and organic farmer from Germany and Israel.
Jacob: I am skilled in plumbing and construction, I rebuilt my sailboat that I sailed from Michigan to Jamaica this past year and it taught me how to build complicated projects & to prepare and maintain the boat during my journey. I am fluent in English and speak Spanish.
Simi is a vegan chef and caterer and spent 5 years living in Jamaica building & running a vegan farm-to-table cookshop, bar, event location in the jungle, and catering business. She also oversaw a farm in the the lush jungle of the rainforest parish in Jamaica and is a skilled gardener and farmer. She is half German half Israeli and grew up trilingual speaking German, English, and Hebrew.
After we met in Jamaica and lived together between Jacobs boat and Simi's jungle cabin life has brought us to Portugal where we want to eventually make our dream come true: having our own piece of land, living off grid, starting a farm, rebuild my cookshop, and music studio. But we still need to get to that point, so now we are looking for a farm in Portugal to live on and learn from to help us transition back to live our life in nature and get ideas for what it takes to farm in this region of the world before we do it on our own!

Food preservation and seed collecting is one of our hobbies we see as crucial to a healthy life. We have dreams of starting an organic seed company one day and be part of global food diversity and security.

We are both very active, hardworking & motivated, love to surround ourselves with likeminded people & relax our minds and bodies with good music, food and conversations.
