Hello!

I'm Izzie, a young adult from London. I am currently studying History and Politics at Newcastle University in the UK. History and Politics are just two of my many passions in life, I love animals (especially cats - but I love dogs too!), being creative and spending time outdoors.

In my spare time I like to make jewellery, handmade cards and go to the gym. I think that spending time doing creative activities is really important as I find it relaxes me and is a good method of mindfulness. Exercising and playing sports games is great for my health both mentally and physically so I always try and include these into my everyday life.

From a young age, I have always wanted to learn another language particularly Spanish or Italian. I have visited both countries a number of times and have fallen in love with the vast array of cultures. I would love to join a family who would be happy to show me their culture, teach me their language and involve in every day life.

Alongside my creative skills, I can cook relatively well and would love to help in the kitchen. I would love to help teach children English through cooking, arts and crafts and sport. I have a younger sister of my own and was a babysitter/Nanny for two children for three years. I have looked after children from a couple of days old to 12 years old, so I am well experienced with kids.

When studying for my A-level exams, I worked in a high-end independent restaurant in London called Hatched. Whilst working there I met a number of interesting people from different professions all around the world. This inspired me to explore different hobbies and venture out of my comfort zone. I would love to go on an adventure and see a workaway experience as a great opportunity to do so.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Before coming to university I was a Nanny/Babysitter for two children for three years. I looked after them since they were two and four years old all the way through to five and seven. I still look after them when I am not at University and we have plenty of fun together! I am patient, caring and fun. I love to help children learn through creative activities and sport. I am very empathetic and take time to understand children's emotions as I know being a young child in the big, wide world can be very overwhelming!

I like to cook and would love to learn how to make new dishes. I would also happily teach families how to make my favourite dishes. I am not fussy and would love to try new foods.

I am very tidy and love a clean space. I am happy to help with cleaning, washing up, laundry, gardening and more!

As mentioned previously, I love sport and therefore love running around the garden playing with children. Art is one of my passions, and I am fascinated by how imaginative children are and therefore I love getting creative with kids.

I have lived in England all my life, therefore I can speak perfect English and would be happy to help your family improve their English.

I love playing games - especially cards. I know a wide range of cards games including some Spanish and Italian games such as Burraco.
