Hi! :) I'm Irina, a 20 years old, uncomplicated, curious, and cheerful girl. At the moment I'm taking a gap year to go travelling and gaining some working experiences. Last summer I've been travelling for three months in Europe while doing Workaway with a friend of mine. We stayed with four different hosts and helped with cleaning, cooking, gardening, reorganizing, etc. Based on the great time we've spent with our hosts I've decided wanting to gain more Workaway experiences on my own!
I love to spend my free time in nature and go swimming, climbing, dancing, and skiing. Besides that, I like cultural events such as nice exhibitions, theatres, food festivals and concerts...Inspired of such events I'm trying to learn playing the guitar. Furthermore, I'm playing the piano and a funny Suisse instrument we call "schwyzerörgeli" (something like an accordion). Another passion of mine is preparing and especially eating good food! I really enjoy eating in a various and healthy way. Besides that, I’m also a vegetarian :).
In September I will start university to study primary education. I really enjoy working with children and I love their honest way! Generally, I really like the exchange with other people and discussing with them.

My mother tongue is (swiss-)german and I'd be open to teach you some words. In swissgerman we have for exemple the word "chuchichäschtli" which is very hard to pronounce, but actually only means "cupboard" ;). Furthermore, I love speaking french and I'd like to improve my english.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

In general, I would say that I acquire quite fast new skills and can adapt myself towards the expectations given. Moreover, my proper, “swiss” way of working has always been appreciated ;).
I have some experiences with gardening because of my previous Workaways and at home we have a garden where we grow our own vegetables and fruits. Furthermore, I’ve already stayed on a farm helping there with animals, the garden, and weeds.
I often cook for my family and like to bake nice things when I find the time.
I also have a lot of experience with kids. I work as a ski instructor in winter and have been babysitting for several years. Moreover, I assisted in a primary school as a needlework teacher, that’s why I have many ideas to craft! ;)

Was noch ...

I really like playing "dog" which is a funny, competitive board game. Furthermore, I know plenty of card games with our swiss jess cards.

I like to practice yoga to calm down :).
