Hey! I'm Ines 💛 I am Portuguese, but im based in Cork city, Ireland. I am really passionate about my interests: menstrual cycles and body literacy, astrology and tarot, and making the world a better place than what I found it.

I once aspired to work in politics. I did a bachelor's in political science, and a masters in postcolonial studies. I worked at the European Parliament, and at a leading think tank on sustainable food systems! While I carry all that I learned in the last decade close to my heart, I'm on a different journey now.

I'm still moved by the same desire for justice and equality, but Id rather do it on my own terms. So I recently started my own online business where I empower other people who menstruate to take control over their reproductive freedom! I love the idea of rewilding self care, and so I weave herbalism, astrology, tarot, and coaching into my practice. It's the thing I'm most passionate about for sure and I'd love to share this knowledge with my hosts and other volunteers, and to learn their perspectives as well!

I have volunteered abroad a lot in the past, and it is still my favourite way to travel: to connect with others, and feel like I'm in exchange with the place I'm visiting, rather than just consuming it. That's why I'm on workaway! I expect to do a bit more travel this upcoming year, so I thought it'd be lovely to do most of it workawaying!

I'm hoping to spend some time in nature, by the beach, working on my projects, and to help out in whatever way I can the people who host me!

+ Anything social media (I run my own business accounts and have ran accounts in the past for ngos)
+ Writing and copy (I'm a writer and worked as a researcher for most of my adult life!)
+ Event organizing (I love organizing events! In my previous job I organized international meetings with UN experts and the like. I'd love to use that experience for more aligned purposes!)
+ Care work (I love cooking for others, minding children and pets, holding intentional spaces, and creating safe nourishing environments for people)
+ Workshops (either setting other people's up, or running my own)

Was noch ...

I really love spending time outdoors. I'm not the most adrenaline junkie person out there, and I'm definitely not super skilled at handyman activities, but I am definitely really interested and have loved doing them when I volunteered in the past. So things like gardening, construction projects, etc are definitely something I'd love to learn more about

i also love movement! Especially boxing and kickboxing, yoga, pilates, hiking and running :) I'd be down to do some hikes / learn a new sport. Ive dabbled into surfing and sailing - not great at it but had a lot of fun.

I love journaling and reading, making herbal teas, and having chats with people
