I think doing meaningful work internationally can be the best way to experience other cultures. My first experience with this was working as an au pair in Spain over 10 years ago helping two little girls practice their English (and helping the parents as well!). Five years ago I volunteered as part of a medical mission trip to Guatemala and performed ultrasounds (sonography is my career) in the local hospital. I returned to the same community earlier this year (2025) and had another amazing experience.
Some things that bring me happiness include surfing, practicing Spanish, sewing/quilting, reading, hiking, swimming. -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I am a patient and kind teacher. Most of my teaching experience comes from teaching ultrasound students entering the field of sonography (adults), but I do have my few months of experience working as an au pair with two girls, who I helped with their English and occasionally with their homework.
From my teens to early twenties I gained a lot of experience babysitting. I love speaking and playing with little kids and seeing their imagination and creativity soar, and I know that my own imagination and ability to make any situation fun and exiting would help me in a role involving children.
I speak Spanish at an intermediate level. -

Was noch ...
I recently fostered two dogs for a few months! I fall in love with dogs pretty quickly, so it was difficult to say goodbye to them when I moved to a different city, but I found one of them another foster placement and the other is with a potential adopter right now!
