Dear Workawayfamily,

my Name is Leonie and I am 27 years old.

I’m a sports teacher for kindergarten/ primary school, a yoga teacher, a hostel & gastronomy worker and a creativ soul, who loves painting and getting my hands dirty.

After getting a degree in sports and dance, I've traveled extensively and it has turned into the main priority of my life.
After traveling for a few years, I’m slowing down and appreciating and enjoying life at home just as much.

I love meeting myself during challenges and unfamiliarity as well as getting to know other travelers, cultures and different ways of life.
I'm offering my hand or my knowledge around the world , in exchange for experience, that I couldn't get back home.
I want to learn, get my hands dirty and experience life in all its glory (and its misery :) )
Thats whats its all about.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I did my 200hour yoga teacher training in India this year and would love to offer classes.
Yoga has been a big part of life, for many years; yet it’s only the beginning of my personal yoga journey. I am a big fan of getting to know myself via mediation, yoga, breath work, etc.

I am a certified sports, dance and gymnastics teacher and have a lot of experience in teaching all sorts of movement, with every age.
I've worked as a movement teacher in a kindergarten, primary schools and a lot of different sport clubs.
I love working kids age 3-13 so much!
I can keep them entertained and teach them all kinds of physical activitity, in a very playful and fun way. I get to play soo much much more than most grown up... its my favorite part about my job!

Back home I'm also working in germanys biggest hostel (called "the tent" in Munich -> check it out it’s an epic place! ) and I love to keep the travel vibe up whilst being at home.
I’m experienced in gastronomy work as well.
I’ve worked multiple times as a server, a bartender and will work the winter season in Switzerland to fund my future travels.

Ive done 3 workaways so far.
- I was teaching yoga in stunning hostel in the jungle of panama
- I got learn more about hostellife in Costa Rica. My main tasks were taking care of the guests, general maintenance, painting, garden work and some other labouring tasks.
- lastly i was housekeeping in Los Angeles for 3 months
All of them have been amazing experiences and ive done plenty other jobs while being on the road.

For 6 months I've lived in my car and travelled through canada.
I had numerous random jobs during that time.
For example I worked as a picker in a cherry orchard, as a baby- and petsitter, as a housekeeper , as a laborer (painting, declutterring, basic woodwork, cleaning) and a saleswoman in a dispensary.

I grew up on the countryside of bavaria so I am experienced in gardening, weeding, wood chopping, animal care and everything that gets your hands dirty and face sweaty.

Love the spontaneity and randomness that comes with travelling and the chance to constantly grow, gain new experiences and insights into things you'd never do unless you’re putting yourself out there.

I am very creativ and need some form of art to let my creativity flow.
Dancing, painting, photography, making jewelry, pottery etc
I love doing mandalas and they are pretty good, if I may say so myself :D

As I’ve been to quite a few Muslim countries I have a deep found appreciation for the Islamic art and architecture!
Recently Ive gotten into Islamic mosaic painting and geometric patters, and I really enjoy it. Would love to deepen my knowledge and skills in several art styles including calligraphy, figurative art, sacred geometry, etc

I've done plenty, but always love to expand my knowledge and experiences further more about inner work, Buddhism, Yoga related practices, spirituality...

There is always room for improving and I've just scratched the surface of all the beautiful and eye-opening things you can do for your self.

Im a big animal fan! Would love to work with all sorts of animals. Doesnt matter if they are domestic, farmanimals or the wildlife. I love them all!

I am pursuing a plantbased, minimalistic and low waste lifestyle and appreciate people who have similar values.

Ive been a vegetarian for most of my life and trying to eat as vegan as possible and for me it is very important to live and travel as eco friendly as possible!
