Hi! I'm Greta, a 23 year old student from Italy. Actually, I've just finished my bachelor in languages, and while I wait to start my Master in September I've been taking a gap year, working and exploring other things. One of which, I hope, will be workaway! I live in Venice with my mom and our three cats, as my older sister now lives in Valencia.
I have had a previous experience in volunteering, although with a different platform, when i was 16 - in a sustainable farm in Spain with a friend and a dozen other teens from the whole of Europe. It was truly one of the best experiences of my life, hopefully something to recreate.

Ideally, this time it would be something more tranquil - either with a family that needs help with the house and/or children, a farm (I'd LOVE to tend to chickens and goats again, to be in the greenery for a bit), gardening work, or even Italian and English support classes! I'd love to teach in school in the future, and have helped a couple younger students who were struggling with their English, so it would be great to continue this streak. I'm happy to cook even if I'm far from a chef, but really my strong suit is entertainment: I yap a lot, love drawing/painting and art in general (graduated from an art high school), and finding a hundred hobbies to never get really good at.

If that sounds good to you, maybe we can connect! It would be lovely to share minds and space for a month or two - or three. I'd love to start this journey at the beginning of March, through midsummer - July. At that point I will have to be back home for many a graduations.

My mother tongue is Italian, and have a Bachelor in English and French. Sadly, I'm really not fluent in the latter, which I'd love to learn better, mostly the everyday speaking and listening that is really useful. While I have never really taught Italian, if what you're looking for is to have conversations, pointers and such, I can definitely help. English, on the contrary, I have taught before. During high school and the first two years of university I helped a middle schooler and a high schooler, both with ADHD, with their homework. I'm not an expert teacher by any means, but would love to help anyone who asks.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Recapping: Italian, English and some French, generally I really like teaching. I also love art (painting/drawing/I do dabble in sculpture but no good - also museums, analog photography...). Can cook but mostly desserts.

I have lived alone one year and had other volunteer work experience abroad. I also love pets and animals in general, can entertain children and if comfortable, chat for hours on end

Not a fan of board games, unless it's Cluedo or Puzzles, which I'm as much fond of as I'm jealous of. My mom and I have a small collection of 2000 pieces ones, which is slowly growing in size and difficulty over the years. I can also play a tough and long round of cards, whichever ones - apart from Briscola, which evades me. Would love to learn more and happy to teach the ones I know, Italy is basically built on churches and card games at the bar.
I do sometimes enjoy videogames, and can be somewhat of a nerd for the Harry Potter saga, The Last Airbender and such. I'm also trying to learn to crochet. Not really sporty as I have no discipline but I like to play basically anything, tennis, volley, whatever else
Still no driver's license - looking to get it this year
