Beschreibung

Hello! We are Robin and Eve. We are currently travelling between New Zealand and Japan to teach skiing. When we aren't teaching, we enjoy spending our time outdoors, hiking, cycling and canoeing.

We are both excited about being involved with different conservation and sustainability projects. Eve has a background in Earth and Planetary science and is eager to expand her ecological knowledge. Robin has a background in engineering and has worked on the development of various sustainable materials.

Eve has fundraised and volunteered for conservation initiatives in Borneo where she worked towards reforestation and clearing invasive species. She has also worked to support her local community gardens. Robin has been involved with ecosystem restoration projects as well as trail building and clearing across Canada.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Robin and Eve are an outdoorsy, practical couple who are used to working hard, learning quickly, and getting stuck into whatever needs doing. Between us, we have experience in outdoor education, conservation, grounds work, property maintenance, teaching, guiding, hospitality, and working with people from all over the world.

Robin has a background in mechanical engineering and is comfortable with tools, problem-solving, repairs, building projects, and general hands-on work. He has also worked for many years as a ski instructor, outdoor guide, and rescue instructor, including managing and training large teams. He is comfortable working independently, taking responsibility for projects, and figuring things out as he goes.

Eve has a varied practical and outdoor background. Before working as a ski instructor, she served in the UK Air Force Reserves and worked as a groundsworker, so she is used to physical work, working outdoors in all conditions, and being part of a team. She has also done ecology and conservation work in Borneo, giving her hands-on experience working in a very different environment and a strong interest in wildlife and conservation. She is creative, organised, and also has experience creating outdoor and travel content, including photography and short-form video.

We're both very active and happiest outside. We're comfortable with physical work, bad weather, early mornings, and long days when a project needs to get finished. We're particularly interested in conservation and ecology, gardening, trail work, building and maintenance projects, farm work, landscaping, and helping with outdoor or tourism-based businesses.

We don't expect to arrive knowing how to do everything. We're quick learners, happy to take direction, and enjoy picking up new practical skills. If something needs doing, we're usually pretty keen to give it a go.

Was noch ...

We are keen for outdoors adventures such as whitewater paddling, cycling, big hikes, climbing etc. Most of our evenings are relaxed at home, reading with a cup of tea, playing board games.
