Je m'appelle Elodie, je suis originaire de Haute Savoie, France et je suis actuellement en Alaska, Anchorage pour le travail. Je suis enseignante en école élémentaire et aussi enseignante spécialisée.
J'aime voyager, le contact avec les gens et j'apprécie faire des nouvelles rencontres et échanger des histoires et des expériences.
J'ai vécu au Canada, British Columbia en échange linguistique au lycée. J'ai adoré ce premier long voyage à l'étranger. J'ai adoré rencontrer les habitants et apprendre sur la culture locale, si proche et si différente de la France. Et c'est ainsi que en tant qu'adulte j'ai apprécié être une bénévole avec Workaway. J'aime l'échange culturel, avec des habitants locaux et pouvoir aider aussi. J'ai aussi eu l'envie de partager et d'accueillir chez moi, en particulier quand il a fallu déménager pour l'Alaska. Donc j'ai l'expérience à la fois côté Workawayer et Hôte.

Je suis une personne plutôt sociable, et autonome. J'aie partager avec les gens et j'aime aussi prendre du temps pour moi. Je suis habile de mes mains, je suis organisée, je peux facilement aider pour le ménage au quotidien, ranger des espaces qui ont été oublié comme un garage, un espace de stockage ou autre chose. Je peux aider aussi pour le jardinage. Je peux aider à organiser les repas et à cuisiner avec plaisir.

Ce que j'aime et ce que je recherche sur Workaway, c'est un échange, participer à la vie locale et en échange avec le gîte et le couvert (chambre et repas). Je souhaite profiter de découvrir une nouvelle destination avec des gens agréables.

My name is Elodie, I'm originally from Haute-Savoie, France, and I'm currently in Anchorage, Alaska for work. I'm an elementary school teacher and also a special education teacher.

I love traveling, connecting with people, and I truly enjoy meeting new people and exchanging stories and experiences.

I lived in British Columbia, Canada during a high school language exchange. I absolutely loved that first long trip abroad. I really enjoyed meeting locals and learning about the local culture—so close to, yet so different from, France. That experience inspired me, and as an adult, I enjoyed volunteering through Workaway. I love cultural exchange, getting to know local people, and being able to help out.

It also gave me the desire to host and welcome others into my home—especially when I had to move to Alaska. So I have experience both as a Workawayer and as a host.

I’m a fairly sociable and independent person. I enjoy spending time with others, but I also appreciate having time for myself. I’m good with my hands, organized, and can easily help with daily housekeeping, tidying up neglected spaces like a garage or storage area, and more. I can also help with gardening, meal planning, and I’d be happy to cook and share meals.

What I love and look for on Workaway is a real exchange—being involved in local life in return for accommodation and meals (a room and food). I’m hoping to enjoy discovering a new place while spending time with kind, welcoming people.
