Beschreibung

We are an adventurous, enthusiastic couple who love stepping outside our comfort zones, connecting with new people, and immersing ourselves in different cultures. We met two years ago while studying abroad in Greece and have been inseparable ever since, bonding over our shared love of travel, meaningful experiences, and curiosity about the world. Since then, we’ve traveled throughout Europe together and now frequently travel between the U.S. and Canada while finishing our studies.

We both graduate this spring and are excited to spend time gaining hands-on, enriching experiences before beginning graduate school. During our Workaway stay, we will not be working or studying, allowing us to fully commit our time and energy to helping our hosts while also exploring the surrounding area and embracing new adventures. Although this will be our first official Workaway experience, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for years, and we are highly motivated, reliable, and eager to contribute.

Ella grew up in the southeastern United States near a major mountain range, which sparked her lifelong love for hiking, running, and being outdoors. Coming from a family of animal lovers (her mother is a veterinarian) she has extensive experience caring for animals and absolutely adores them. Ella has cared for children throughout her life and has held a consistent babysitting position for the past two years, caring for two young children. She loves cooking and baking, especially trying new recipes, and would be thrilled to learn traditional dishes from our hosts. She is studying biology, chemistry, religious studies, and health equity.

Josh is from eastern Canada and is studying business, accounting, and law. He is friendly, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys learning about people, traditions, and local ways of life. He has hands-on experience from running his own landscaping business, giving him strong skills in yard maintenance and outdoor work. He has also worked as a car detailer and is comfortable with cleaning, basic vehicle care, and general maintenance. Josh enjoys skating, skiing, swimming, running, and spending time outdoors.

Together, we are hardworking, positive, and adaptable, and we take pride in being respectful, dependable, and enthusiastic helpers. We’re excited to learn from our hosts, contribute wherever needed, and create meaningful connections along the way.
