This is Elu, writing from Argentina, very excited to be coming back to the travelling-volunteering mood. Let me tell you a bit about me: I have been living in Buenos Aires for 2-3 years (finishing my Letras degree, working as a Teacher of English, learning how to dance tango, going to the theatre and also travelling a lot around Argentina and to other Latinoamerican countries). In 2020-2021 I spent almost 2 years in Europe, living for a while in Barcelona and then moving around... and I am ready to go back there in March (I have my fligh on the 26th, iuuuju)! My idea is to spend an year or so in Europe, doing volunteering and picking up some money to then go to my next destination: Asia.

Acá Elu, de Argentina, muy contenta de estar volviendo al modo viaje-voluntariado. Les cuento un poquito de mi: estuve viviendo en Buenos Aires los últimos 2-3 años (terminando mi carrera en Letras, trabajando como profe de Inglés, aprendiendo a bailar tango, yendo al teatro y también viajando mucho por Argentina y por otros países de Latinoamerica). En 2020-2021 pasé casi dos años en Europa, viviendo un tiempo en Barcelona y viajando... y estoy lista para volver en Marzo (tengo mi pasaje de avión pal 26, iuuuju)! Mi idea es estar un poco más de un año en Europa, voluntariando y juntando dinero para ir a mi próximo destino: Asia.

Puedo enseñar tanto castellano como inglés. Tengo un nivel básico también de Lengua de Señas Argentina. Me gustaría reforzar mi poco conocimiento de francés y aprender cualquier otro idioma que aparezca en el camino -.- I can teach spanish and english. I also have a basic formation in Argentinian Sign Language.I would like to continue learning french and any other language that appears on the way.

Estoy dispuesta, y con ganas, de aprender un poco de todo!

He trabajado como niñera, profesora, recaudadora de fondos para ONG y redactora (además de pequeños trabajitos como recepcionista y mesera, cuando mis viajes así lo requirieron jaja).
En Argentina, tanto mis abueles como mis adres tienen campos, por lo que la naturaleza fue siempre algo con lo que estuve en contacto (y aprendí también a involucrarme con ella). Además, tuve la suerte de viajar mucho y aprender acerca de diferentes modos de cuidarla.

En los dos voluntariados que hice en Catalunya descubrí que me encanta el trabajo físico: construcción, pintura y jardinería. Tambien me interesan los proyectos artísticos y trabajar la madera y la piedra.

Me gustaría seguir incorporando saberes, no solo para mi mente sino también para mi cuerpo :)

I am willing, and looking forward to, learn a little bit of everything!

I've worked as a babysitter, teacher, ONG promoter and writer (besides some informal positions as a receptionist and waitress when my travels required so jaja).
In Argentina, thanks to my grandparents and parents, I grew up connected to the countryside, so I've always been in contact with nature (and I've also learnt how to get involved with it). Moreover, I have been lucky enought to travel a lot and learn about different ways of taking care of it.

In the two voluntariados I did in Catalunya I discovered I love physical work: building, painting and gardening. I am also interested in artistic projects and working with wood and stone.

I would like to keep on gaining knowledge, not only for my mind but also for my body :)

Además de viajar...

Creo que lo que más me gusta es hablar (y escuchar, claro). Cuando las personas se encuentran y se comunican pasa la magia.

La política. La literatura. La música. El teatro. Los juegos de mesa (y las cartas, siempre tengo un mazo conmigo y quiero aprender un juego típico de cada lugar al que vaya). La comida, la cerveza y el mate. El día y la noche por igual, creo, y sus diferentes dinámicas. La acrobacia y el baile. La astrología. El amor en todas sus formas.

Appart from travelling...

I think that what I enjoy the most is talking (and listening, of course). When people get together and communicate, magic happens.

Politics. Literature. Music. Theatre. Table games (and cards, I always have a deck with me and I want to learn one typical game from each place I go). Food, beer and mate. The day and the night, and their different dinamics. Acrobatics and dancing. Astrology. Love in all of its forms.
