Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

Hi! I’m Dries, from Belgium, and currently in a phase of life where I’m intentionally exploring a simpler, more connected way of living.

I’m looking to spend time in nature, learn practical skills, meet interesting people and experience different ways of living. I’m especially drawn to organic farming, permaculture, ecological projects, communities and places where people work together and live close to nature. 🌿

I have a background in digital product design, so I’m used to being creative, responsible and solving problems independently. At the same time, I’m increasingly interested in working with my hands, learning about growing food, building, working with wood and simply being outdoors.

I’m easy-going, curious and adaptable, and I enjoy both working independently and being part of a group. Also curious about different cultures and their cooking recipes, so I’m always happy to contribute in the kitchen.

For me, a Workaway is not just about exchanging a few hours of work for accommodation. I’m looking for a genuine experience: contributing to something meaningful, learning from people who live differently, spending time outdoors and getting a little further away from the routines of everyday life.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m quite handy and enjoy practical, hands-on work. I have a good technical understandig, I pick things up quickly, always curious so not afraid to get my hands dirty.
- Woodworking: know how to wield a hammer and a saw, built a oaken carport last winter.
- Gardening: experience in planting, maintaining and harvesting plants and vegetables
- Cooking: love cooking healthy food from fresh vegetables, not complete vegi but don’t mind skipping meat
- IT: as I’ve worked in Digital I’m quite handy with technology
