Beschreibung

Hi! I’m Dominique/Domm, a graphic design manager living in London. I love my creative career but my biggest passion has always been animals, especially horses and dogs!

I’ve been horse riding since I was 5 and have had several horses on loan throughout my teens and adult life. I sadly don’t currently own one, but I regularly ride my friend’s horse and help care for her herd. I’ve also worked full-time on farms and horse yards, so I’m confident handling all aspects of equine care from feeding, grooming, and mucking out to exercising and groundwork. On a previous Workaway stay (please see my feedback) I learned TTouch equine massage therapy, which I love to do with the horses in my life.

I also have a miniature dachshund named Douglas, who is the love of my life. Until recently, I also had a rescue Alaskan Malamute (Kai) who sadly passed away this summer. I have a lot of experience in looking after different sizes, ages and temperaments of dogs.

I’m hoping to find a ranch or farm stay in the US or Canada for a few weeks in May/June 2026. I'd love to be able to ride, and I am happy to take on all elements of horse care! I’m hardworking, adaptable, and always keen to learn new skills.

My other hobbies are cooking/baking, gardening, tennis, Muay Thai, hiking, skiing, and art. I’m a naturally curious person with a carpe diem attitude; I love to keep busy, stay outdoors, and connect with people from all walks of life. I also enjoy good yap about arts, literature, and film, and I’ve made amazing friendships through travel and Workaway!

Ultimately I am a very hard working, sociable, enthusiastic worker with a good level of animal care knowledge!

I am an experienced rider and have lots of experience looking after horses. I have also trained dogs using clicker training and positive reinforcement. I have basic computer skills and I am not afraid of hard work!
