Hello. We are David and Jo, a married couple originally from UK. Since 2019 we have divided our time between our home in the south of Spain and doing Workaway projects in other parts of the world.

The work and locations have been extremely varied: we taught English in the Indian Himalayas and more recently in Rwanda, we have assisted business projects in Mexico and Colombia, we worked with the owners of a lodge to build a website in Japan and we pruned trees for a lovely family in Louisiana!

David's work experience includes international business development, language teaching (qualified), and book writing (two travel books published). His speciality is global logistics; he has worked in all regions of the world and established a network of offices through Africa, Middle East and South America to provide distribution and marketing options to international publishers. He now speaks Spanish and Portuguese to an advanced level as well as some French and German.

Jo's experience is in IT and project management. Her speciality is the implementation of billing systems on behalf of multinational organisations, work that has taken her to many countries. She is also a Callan Method qualified English teacher and an amateur painter specialising in water colours. Her other interests include yoga and cooking.

We have considerable combined experience in hospitality and organising social events, both professionally and as trustees of a charity. We enjoy outdoor life, regularly participate in different kinds of sport and have been lucky enough to travel to many parts of the world for both business and pleasure (over 100 countries in total).

We are sociable people with a sense of responsibility (and a sense of humour!) and always looking to make a positive contribution to a worthwhile project. We enjoy working, particularly in an organisational and educational capacity, and take a pride in being reliable and punctual. We are non-smokers, we eat all kinds of food and consider ourselves to be very adaptable.

Once again I like to thank so much Jo and David Jenkins .They have been wonderful volunteers, very helpful for a month at our school. We have been very lucky to be able to meet them through Workaway. We wish them all the best.

We have just completed four wonderful weeks at the school and it was a really great experience. It has grown from 12 students to more than 500 in less than twenty years and that reflects the enthusiasm and professionalism of all concerned.

We had a great time with Linni and Trent, it was a fabulous experience. They were such fun hosts, extremely kind and hospitable and we laughed a lot during our two weeks with them.
