Hola, soy Luna! He estado viajando/haciendo voluntariados por más que un año, y en este momento mi principal objetivo es mejorar mi español! Por eso, me encantaría estar en un lugar donde sólo estoy rodeada de español para que pueda mejorar rápidamente! (ahora nivel A2-B1)

A little over a year ago I graduated from my BSc in Cultural Anthropology, moved out of my room in Amsterdam, and booked a one-way ticket to Mexico. Ever since, my plan has been to slowly travel through Latin America, while improving my Spanish and gaining new (volunteering) experiences along the way. In recent years, I spent many months solo backpacking through Asia, Europe, and Latin America, but since I was always quite limited in my time, I used to travel (and live) way too fast. Now that I've graduated from university, I'm so glad to be able to travel for an unlimited amount of time, so that I can really take my time to explore and settle down in places that I love, and hopefully be surrounded by people that give me a sense of community. The main reason I’m on Workaway is to find places and opportunities that I would otherwise miss out on, and to go out of my comfort zone in every possible direction. Thereby I can’t wait to find amazing places that I’ll (not so) temporarily call home, as well as find like-minded people :)

Some more about me: I’m Dutch, 25, and have finished a Bachelor’s in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology at the University of Amsterdam. Though I do not plan on returning to academia anytime soon, if ever, during my studies I have found joy in writing and doing research. In my spare time, I enjoy being creative, journaling, meditating, surfing, swimming, doing yoga, hanging out with friends, eating good food, dancing, and staying active. I’m an easygoing and open-minded person, who’s very interested in learning about & experiencing new cultures – and I’m always open to new experiences and ideas. I love to be in nature or in the water, and all activities surrounding those, like hiking, surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, or exploring.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm university educated and have had many student jobs in different industries over the past decade. I've gained most of my job experiences in the service industry, and have worked as a host, all-rounder, and waitress in restaurants. I've also done inventory work, food delivery, and was shortly in sales. I'm a quick learner and open to a lot of different opportunities. I love to work with and around people, and I'm tidy, detail-oriented and precise.

I don’t smoke, drink, or do drugs. I'm clean, respectful, and considerate of others. I'm also super flexible with my schedule since I prefer to go with the flow instead of planning everything out, so I'm open for anything!
