Hi there! I’m so excited to be a part of Workaway as I love to travel, especially with a purpose. I am from Australia with Dutch background and am planning to spend the next couple years travelling Europe! I love to meet new people, spend time outdoors and get in nature. In my free time I like to draw, play games or make clothes (although that’s a little difficult while being on the move!). I love immersing myself in new cultures and getting to learn as much as I can about each place, but often my favourite parts of travelling are the hikes I get to go on and the nature I get to see. I am also a qualified yoga teacher and love to share my passions while living a slow and fulfilling, present life. I am a very creative person and love to work with my hands. Back home I work in event management which is a perfect mix of planning (I love to be organised) and working on site in new environments. I am always in new settings doing tasks I would never think I would end up doing, it’s always interesting! I’m so excited to do more interesting tasks in new settings and expand my skills and knowledge!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have strong skills in planning, organisation and management. I have lots of experience working with people whether that be in a team, as a manager or as a carer for children and animals. This also comes out when I teach yoga classes. I am qualified in Vinyasa and Hatha and absolutely love teaching and am confident doing so.
I also enjoy and have experience in handy work. I have helped my family renovate a house and work in gardens, I love working with my hands and seeing things come together from the work I have put into it.
I have strong cooking skills and enjoy creating new meals for friends and family.
I am a very organised person and have a brain for planning, scheduling and arranging things orderly. I work in event management where I get to use these skills and also apply them into everyday life.
I also have a background in hospitality and performing arts which I don’t think I could ever get sick of!
I love to learn and expand my knowledge and skills on things I have experience with and also new things I have never tried before!

Was noch ...

I love to surf and to hike! Anything outdoors that gets my body moving I will be interested in. I also love card games, even when everyone has different rules. A fun fact is that I have been a competitive Irish dancer for 18 years! I’m excited to work with new people in new places and experience new things :)
