Hi everyone,

I’m Carlota, a Spanish girl currently living and working in Paris.

It’s been a while since I last used Workaway, but I really loved my first experience back in 2023 on L’Île d’Oléron, just before moving here.

I moved to France to try something new, learn a new language, and because I’ve always been in love with French culture. Since then I’ve been lucky to travel to different countries and even other continents, which has been amazing — but Central and South America are still high on my list!

Before heading back home to Spain, I’d really like to do some humanitarian work and contribute to a meaningful project. I think Workaway is the best way to combine both goals.

A little bit about me:
I’m 26, I studied journalism, and I now work in Paris organizing events for an international animal health organization (WOAH). I enjoy cooking, hiking, the beach, reading, and horse riding (though it’s been a while!). What I love most is spending time with people and discovering new cultures.

I speak Spanish, English, French, and Italian, and I’ve worked with both kids and older people before. I’m also happy to help with manual work — as long as the tasks are explained, I’m not afraid to get my hands dirty!

All I ask in exchange is a bed, meals, a friendly environment where I can feel comfortable, and, if possible, a bit of time off to explore the area.

I am good with kids, animals and cooking.
I have no problem working on construction at all projects when needed but I may need a little guidance at the beginning. Unfortunately I don't have a driving license, I hope that won't be a problem. :/

Was noch ...

I really like art and film but I don't think I'm skilled enough at it to mention it as the main thing. However, I've loved painting and drawing since I was little, so maybe that's the one thing I could be a bit better at :)
