Hi!
I'm Anna, a 35-year-old currently studying traditional cultural crafts, a hands-on program focused on preservation, reuse, and historical craftsmanship. I also hold a bachelor's degree in conservation, which has given me a theoretical background and a deeper understanding of how we care for and interpret our built heritage. These two areas of study reflect my passion for both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, as well as the meaningful, hands-on work involved in keeping traditions alive.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, staying active, and working out. I grew up playing several sports, including football (soccer) and floorball (invented by Swedes), and while I’m no longer competing, sports are still a big part of my life. I love going to games or watching them on TV. On top of that, I enjoy snowboarding and try to visit the Swedish mountains at least once a year.

I also have a strong interest in history and architecture, and during the weekeds or while traveling, I love visiting flea markets, antique stores, museums and historical sites, it’s a way for me to relax and to learn more. I would describe myself as curious, open-minded, and always excited to meet new people and learn new things.

I just joined the Workaway community because I’m looking for meaningful experiences during my summer vacation, where I can contribute with my skills and interests, while also learning and growing through connection with people from different countries and backgrounds. Whether it’s helping with renovation (preferable restoration), cultural projects, gardening, or everyday tasks – I’m happy to lend a hand!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

When I was 24, I worked as an au pair in the United States, which was a life-changing experience and gave me a deep appreciation for cultural exchange and living as part of a host family.

From my current and previous education, I have acquired knowledge of how to restore windows and do some wood repairs on them.

I have knowledge of taking care of a home, including cleaning, laundry, and general maintenance. Im not afraid of hard and physical work. I prefer to do practical work and if there's something I haven't done before, I'm sure I can accomplish most tasks with some instructions.
