Beschreibung

We are a Berlin-based couple and curios for all kinds of alternative lifestyles, likeminded people around the globe, new activities, learning languages and creating something meaningful together. Let's dive in:

Alma (her):
Hi :-)
My name is Alma, 28 and grew up in northern Germany and Berlin. My main professional background is supply chain management, especially procurement. Beside my remote part time job, I enjoy gardening, working with wood, crafting, sewing and building stuff as much as social activities or sports. I'm always up for a cup of coffee and an endless talk about life and mind, a walk around the park or a relaxed afternoon with solely a book or good company. I am pretty self-reliant - if I see something has to be done and I'm able to do so - I will most probably take care of it.

Maxim (him):
Moin!
My name is Maxim, 33 and I grew up in Berlin and its peaceful suburbs.
I am a very outgoing person and always bring a positive mood and energy to share. However, I also appreciate quiet moments and respect others' needs.
I have travelled to many different European countries and spent a total of two years on working holiday visas in Australia and New Zealand. After that, I visited various regions in Indonesia.

On this adventure now, I want to discover the North & South American continent.
I am very fascinated by the vast outdoors/backcountry but also the diversity of culture this part of the world has to offer.

We are fluent in English and German, that we could teach. We'd love to learn Spanish! Alma already had it for a couple years in school, but that was a long time ago and she never had the chance to practise properly.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Alma (her):
Most of my skills are self-taught, so no big superpower here. But I've worked for the German Red Cross for a while, was giving swimming lessons to children of all age and I'm a certified life guard.
Apart from that, I grew up with lots of gardening, house work and have plenty of manual skills (a single mom can teach you anything). I converted my own little camper van for example. I also can sew my own clothes and I enjoy making jewelry or other kinds of creative stuff.
My biggest dream is building an earth ship and learning how to set up a permaculture garden!

Maxim (him):
Having worked as an IT project manager, I have a strong understanding of computers. While I'm not a qualified handyman, I'd say I have reasonable experience using various tools at home and in the garden, as well as larger equipment. For example: Every spring and summer, I take care of my grandma's home and garden. I also worked for an arborist and landscape architecture company in New Zealand. My philosophy is: If there's something I can't do, I'm not afraid to learn how to do it. What I do know is that wood is my favourite raw and building material!
