Hello! My name is Agniete (Agne for short), I am a geography student taking a year out of my studies to see some more of the world and gain new experiences :) I have just joined this site as it seems like the perfect platform for me to step outside of my comfort zone and a more enriching way to visit new places. Originally from Lithuania, I have grown up in Ireland and am proud to call this beautiful little island my home. Through my future workaway experiences, I hope I can share both of my cultures and immerse myself in yours! I have great interest in smaller, local level projects of sustainability and self sufficiency and I believe that this is where meaningful change takes place, through the hard work and passion of like minded people. I enjoy going to the gym, reading, second hand shopping, watching documentaries and being outdoors. I would love to travel as much as I can in the near future, especially to less touristy places to get a real view into the customs and lives of local people.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My previous work experience is mainly in customer service, from which I have gained valuable communication skills. More recently I have been employed in a factory, which means I am no stranger to repetitive tasks! In my teens I worked with horses and assisted in riding lessons at a stables. I loved getting to be outside all day and I certainly got comfortable with getting my hands dirty! I am very adaptable in my skills and am always willing to try new things.
