We love meeting new people from different places, and are always up for an adventure! We are keen for good food, hiking and nature, and connecting with people and culture.

Beschreibung

We are a newly wed couple (married last year!) and have taken a year off from our careers to travel! We are high school sweethearts and have been together for ten years. Adiya is a speech pathologist working with adults with head and neck cancer and Richard (who goes by "Alex") works for the Australian government in their department of veterans' affairs. We can't wait to go on this big adventure together - we have always loved travel, experiencing new places and cultures and meeting new people. We can't wait to meet you!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We are both happy to jump into whatever tasks need doing. We love working with kids and have lots of experience keeping them entertained. We have some minor building experience, are able to cook and clean, and love enjoy interacting with people in general. Alex used to be a tennis coach and has tutoring experience. Adiya has worked for years helping run children's choirs, taught English to highschool students in Italy, has lots of baby sitting experience, and has worked with kids during placements as a speech pathologist.

Was noch ...

We are so excited to experience other cultures and learn about others' traditions. Alex can't wait to learn about the different cultures in Kazakhstan, Georgia and the balkans in particular - he wonders how different they will be from his Australian-Russian upbringing.

We both love to keep busy and have a range of hobbies - Adiya loves to sing and is in a choir that performs often with the Queensland state orchestra. She also loves making things - basic sewing, crafting, scrapbooking and DIY projects around the house. Alex loves keeping fit - he has a black belt in taekwondo, is working up to that in karate as well (currently a red belt) and he plays tennis every week. They love hanging out with friends and playing board games, or watching a cheesy TV show together.
