Hi! My name is Adélie, and I'm currently 19 years old. I would say that I'm quite curious, independant, eager to learn (especially anything related to nature, as I've always lived in a french city), and above all, eager to help. I love traveling and meeting new people (with whom I have formed lasting bonds), experiences that I have tried to pursue throughout my teenage years. I firmly believe that immersion will always be the best way to learn about a new culture ;) .
I am in my first year of college studying literature in France, etc. I love it! Unfortunately, that leaves me little free time to work or pursue my personal interests (and fortunately, most of them coincide with my subjects!). -

I speak French fluently, I get by fairly well in English, and I'm learning German at university (we mainly study literature and not really the communicative aspect. Even though I've practiced it during exchanges lasting a few months, it's still something I need to improve). Finally, I am a fan of ancient languages, it is really my cup of tea, even though for now I can only study Latin and Ancient Greek (but immersion is still a little difficult to achieve for these). This naturally led me to Modern Greek, which I am learning little by little but hope to be able to speak well one day! I would be delighted to teach French to someone, and it would be quite a novel experience, as I am usually the student (which is why I am afraid I might not be the most suitable person to teach), and learning other languages will always be a great pleasure. -

Was könntest du arbeiten?
Well, I have babysat very young children several times, but I have also looked after slightly older children during a month-long au pair stay (which went well). As I don't have any younger siblings, it was a real discovery, like creating games, entering their world, etc. Apart from that, I don't think I'm bad with animals, even though my experience is mainly with cats (I love them!). I am also fond of cooking and preparing meals, especially cakes.
I don't have any specific skills(except for picking berries) but I'm here to learn and I'm willing to do so (once, I took a short carpentry class during a school exchange, and it was great : I had never worked with wood before, but I managed to make a small stool, and it felt like the greatest achievement!). -
